Thirty Four

Kailyn POV

Max was injured and was being carried by Tyson as we walked through the cold desert. My laptop was all destroyed,so I chose to leave it back in the bus. I rubbed my covered arms and breathed our hot air to warm my hands. Why is it always so cold in Russia?!

"Wanna take?" Kai said. I looked at him pointing at his coat. "It's true that I wished for you to freeze to death but the teammates are too happy and I wouldn't want to change that" I mockingly smiled. Kai rolled his eyes and looked away, clutching on his coat.

Suddenly a big red bus stopped and we requested to take a lift. To our surprise,Oliver and Enrique came out of the bus and talked all cheeky. They let us in as I took off my coat and rested. Money may not give happiness but it surely gives comfort.

"Fancy lady,tea or coffee?" Enrique asked. I shook my head. "None." Enrique smiled and nodded at me. I looked outside, ignoring Tyson's argument with Enrique. The bus stopped as Gustov told us that the engine was damaged. I looked outside to see we had stopped infront of some weird building,which Oliver claimed his. The looks on their faces is just adding to my suspicion.

We walked inside and the gate shut close. Robert walked out and pittied Max for losing his bit-beast. So this was all a stupid plan?

"So what do you want,a medal?" Jonny grabbed our attention. I turned to look at the four walking. I looked at Alaxander and passed him the tiniest smile while he returned. "Can you give it to us?Pure gold please" I grinned mockingly. Jonny rolled his eyes.

"Cute trick. I must admit you almost had me fooled. This whole thing is one big set-up. Hey,good job boys. Now if you don't mind, we'd like to be on our way"

Tell'em Kai!

"The point is we want to win!" Alaxander and Jonny laughed. "Exactly how you guys won against us the last time we faced,right?" I smirked. Alaxander clicked his tongue at me. "I have trained hard enough and I think you know there is just not one bit-beast that can defeat yours. It would be a honour to be the first one to defeat Duplica" Alaxander smirked.

"I believe there are only four other bit-beasts that can possibly defeat mine. Dranzer, Dragoon, Draciel and Drigger. I am sorry but you don't here me uttering Maraliyon,do you?" Alexander gritted his teeth. "Wasn't it one of Robert's rule? Don't fight the defeated one. I will follow the same"

"Kailyn" Kai warned as I rolled my eyes and stepped back. Tyson,being stubborn, accepted Robert's challenge and launched his Beyblade.

Tyson won at the end,I mean obviously! We had defeated this team before and they tell us that they are preparing us against the Demolition Boys, stupidity. We looked out the gates and saw a BBA bus. "Ah, that's our cue to leave!" I said as the Bladebreakers nodded and walked out. I was the last one to climb the bus. I looked back and waved my hand at the Majestics. It was amazing meeting them again.

Enrique blowed me a kiss as I rolled my eyes but waved my hand and went inside.

"Scoot Grumpy pants" I ordered as Kai obeyed. "Enrique is still flirting with you?" Kai asked as I nodded,a bit too enthusiastically. "What makes you so excited?" Kai raised his eyebrow. "Never had a boy given me so much attention, that's why" I joked.

"Well you have Ray" Kai mocked as I rolled my eyes. "No Kai,I have you" I winked at him. Kai shook his head and looked away. I laughed, momentarily,and looked straight. The idea of facing the Demolition Boys just makes me go into depressed zone. I played with my fingers and tried to calm myself down. Unique way,eh?

"You will rip your fingers if you continue doing that" Max commented, looking at my hands. I nervously laughed and stopped. He smiled cheerfully and looked away. Poor guy,lost his bit-beast and yet smiles to motivate the team.

I felt a warm hand over mine and squeezed my hands to stop me playing with my fingers,which I had started again unknowingly. I looked down at Kai's hand and then at him. I smiled.

"Are you nervous?" I asked, looking at Kai's hand on my mine. I placed my other hand on top of his and the smile never leaving my face. "Yes,I am" I tightened my grip around his hand and shook my head. "You shouldn't be. You will win. We are way stronger and capable than them."

"If we were,we would have been selected in their team"

"Kai,they are not the team you wanted to join. You were drunk in Black Dranzer's power and it's completely okay. Mistakes happen. It's all okay now. As for me,I was never an option,I wasn't a consideration. Boris thought I could handle Black Dranzer because he thought I had got the hang of Duplica. That's the only reason. "

"And we have the Bladebreakers,what else do you need?" I continued and winked at him. He looked down at our hands and increased his hold on my hand. "How is your hand so warm?" I pulled away my hand, which was not in his grip and used my thumb to carress his hand.

"It happens." Kai joked as I smiled.

Our bus finally stopped as everyone stepped out one by one. Ray looked down at our hands and widened his eyes. I pulled my hands away and nervously smiled at him. I stood up and wrapped my arms around his neck,lightly. (I was wearing good heels,so I reached his height)

"Let's go shall we?" I said pulling him away. I turned back at a seated Kai and winked at him. He shook his head and followed us.

I smiled.

Why did I smile?
