(This doesn't have a set schedule of release. I'll just release chapters when I am done. I think that's fair. I should update the table of contents though. Anyway! Here's the next part! I personally don't believe Marth and Link don't get along at first until they have no choice but to. Enjoy!)
"What happened?" Marth asked in a groggy voice as he blinked a couple of times.
He found himself staring at the sky with the sun up. He moved his left hand in front of his eyes to block the sun and sat up. He realized he was in a forest and not at the mansion, but he was also with Link, who was still asleep. Marth closed his eyes as he tried to remember what had transpired a few moments ago. That's right, Bowser and Ganondorf did something to upset the being that had brought them all together. It confused Marth as to why the two villains wanted to do something like this, but he knew he should help Link first before doing anything else. Marth turned to Link and found the Hero of Time fast asleep and laying on his back. Marth checked himself first to see if he could use anything on him. He sighed when he realized he only had his clothes and Falchion on him. Well, he was going to have to try something else. He stood up and looked around the forest to find something to wake the Hero of Time.
"Perhaps I need to simply shout to wake him" Marth said as he took a breath in and cupped his hands around his mouth, "WAKE UP, LINK!"
The Hero of Time woke up with wide eyes and drew the Master Sword right at Marth's neck! The Hero King swiftly drew his sword and aimed it at Link's neck. They froze as they slowly realized who they were about to fight. They waited for a moment until both put their swords away.
"It is good to see you awake, Link" Marth said in relief as he offered his hand to Link.
Link glanced at the king before turning his head away while looking at the forest. Marth sighed as he tried to understand the Hero of Time. Link searched the area and tried to figure out where they are and what they should do next. Link is already furious at himself for letting Ganondorf get away with this, and Link doesn't want another one-hundred-year event.
"Link, please. We have to work together on this. We don't know where everyone else is" Marth said as he followed the Hero of Time.
Link glanced at the king and then continued to walk forward, much to Marth's annoyance. He had to get Link to listen to him or at least think of a plan. Well, if Link wasn't going to listen to words, then he can listen to a duel. Marth drew Falchion and swung his blade to strike Link who ducked, rolled, and raised his shield to block Marth's strike. Link growled as he faced the Hero King. Link picked himself up and threw his boomerang at him! Marth gasped as he raised Falchion to block the boomerang.
"Link! Please listen to me!" Marth shouted as he pointed Falchion at him, "We need a plan. I know you've done things by yourself, but we can't do this alone. We have to work together"
Link remained quiet before putting boomerang away. He then marched up to the Hero King and remained quiet, as if he was listening for a plan. Marth blinked a couple of times before gasping and putting his sword away.
"Right, well, since we were forcefully separated from everyone and the mansion, it stands to reason that we should make our way back to it. Everyone will probably do the same thing as well" Marth reasoned as Link nodded his head, "So, the only issue is we have no idea on how to get there"
Marth scratched the back of his head as Link tapped his chin. Marth had a point. They had no idea where the mansion could be. Link caught a whiff of something and carefully placed his hand on the hilt of the Master Sword while searching for the source of the smell. Marth took note of Link's change in nature and decided to play along.
