(And this is the last paralogue until we reach the Brawl! I cannot wait for that! I hope you're ready for a long season! Seriously, writing Brawl is much longer than you would think. Especially translating from game to writing. Enjoy!)

The last bit of invitations were sent to their final fighters. One letter landed in front of a mercenary camp. A person was coming back from the market and noticed it.

"I thought we already collected the mail" he said annoyed as he reached to pick it up.

He turned it over and noticed the seal. He was about to open it, but the letter remained close. He clicked his tongue in annoyance and decided to enter the camp.

"Hey, everyone, I'm back" he said unamused as the others rushed up to him.

"Ah, Soren, you're back. What do you have there? I thought we already picked up the mail" the main knight of the mercenary group said with a grin as she moved her long, red hair away from her face.

"I did, Titania" Soren replied curtly as he placed some of the goods on a table, "I don't know where this letter even came from"

Then, the room became quiet when the doors to their leader's opened.

"Why are you yelling, Soren?" a gentle, strong voice asked as he approached them.

He had dark blue hair with a bandana across his forehead. He wore a blue outfit with a red cape. He had tan pants and long brown boots. He adjusted his black gloves as he examined their stern expressions.

"Did something happen at the marketplace? Should I have sent Mist instead?" he asked as he talked with them.

"No, nothing happened at the marketplace, Ike" Soren replied, "We are arguing about this letter. I collected all the mail. I don't understand what this letter is. I can't even open it"

"Is the letter enchanted then?" Titania asked, "Have you tried any of your magic spells?"

"Hey, I was about to when you stepped in and talked with me" Soren said as he glared at Titiania.

Ike shook his head at them as the two of them continued to argue. Ike then took the letter from Soren and examined it. He wasn't even sure who this letter was addressed to. He took a small dagger from the table and used it to cut open the letter. Soren gasped as he turned his attention to Ike.

"You actually opened it?" Soren asked curiously as Titania laughed at his reaction, "Who's it addressed too?"

Ike read the letter and answered simply, "To me"

They jumped at that as Ike held it in his hands and read it over.

"It appears I've been invited to a tournament where the best fighters compete in" Ike said as he pondered on this, "I am not sure attend this. I have enough responsibilities here. We also have Princess Elincia's ball to consider as well"

Soren shook his head as he replied, "But Ike, this has to be a good opportunity for us. We need funds, promotions, and other assets. I think this would be a good idea"

"Well, if our commander doesn't want to go, he doesn't have to" Titania replied with a shrug, "If he believes he should be here, then let him be here"

Ike knew these two could argue valid points on what he should do. In the end, he knew it was ultimately his choice. So, Ike read the letter again. There would be another person in a similar world to his that would attend. The tournament did sound interesting to him, but he has a lot to consider if he has to leave the mercenaries for a bit.

"Hey! Why is it so loud in here?!" a young lady asked as she stepped in.

She had short brown hair, blue eyes, and wore a yellow dress. She had long orange boots and a blue scarf around her neck.
