Episode 6: Outer Space is a Big Place

(And the final chapter before the two part finale of season 1! Honestly, this is a fun one to write! I do love Samus and recently played some of Metroid Dread. I am too far in, because I bought Pokemon Shining Pearl. What can I say, nostalgia wins. Anyway, enjoy!)

          "Argh!" Samus shouted as she, Fox, and Captain Falcon were tossed out of the mansion.

"C'mon!" Captain Falcon said as he snapped his fingers and made his ship appear underneath them.

The pilot seats were open as Captain Falcon dove to the driver's seat while Fox pushed Samus to the copilot's seat. He landed outside of the ship and held on tight to it.

"Fox!" Samus shouted as he shook his head.

"Don't worry, I'll be fine. I don't need a spacesuit to breath out here" Fox reassured them, "Now fly!"

Captain Falcon nodded his head as he pushed the gas pedal and drove forward. Samus took off her helmet and helped him pilot their ship. They were trying to keep it stable and find someplace safe for them to land and think about their next plan. They were able to stabilize the aircraft and then calm themselves down.

"Is everyone ok?" Captain Falcon asked as Samus and Fox nodded their heads at him.

"I think so" Fox said from the outside, "You two ok?"

"Yeah. So, are we ready to think of a plan?" Samus asked as she looked at her two friends.

They were shaken up a bit, but they were able to recover quickly. Though, they couldn't let Fox in, so he sat outside of the ship. They were pretty lucky only the ones who were used to space were blasted here. None of them could begin to imagine how the others would react to being in space.

"We should see if a station is nearby. Can your ship track anything nearby?" Fox asked as Captain Falcon typed something in his control panel.

"Do you honestly think there is anything out here?" Samus asked as she looked at the screen.

"Hey, at least I am trying to find something. Hey, let me ask you two something. That console, did you find it weird?" Fox asked seriously as he crossed his legs and tapped the glass.

Captain Falcon and Samus were surprised by Fox's claim. Captain Falcon crossed his arms over his chest as he pondered on Fox's words while Samus recalled the console. It was powerful, that was for sure. It could summon the stages from their homes, play familiar melodies they've heard, create certain rules, and many other features she didn't get a chance to observe. She knew Fox was trying to figure something else out.

"I don't believe a device like that should've be left unguarded when those two scumbags arrived" Fox said, "Now, I'm not tech genius and I definitely wouldn't get magic, but that console, is something different. Something very powerful. Whoever held this tournament and gathered us here, clearly knew what they were doing and how to do it too"

Samus could agree with Fox's claims as Captain Falcon listened intently to their conversation.

"All I am saying is that the console has a power, this being has a power, and I wouldn't be surprised if anything resembling our homelands was nearby" Fox reasoned as Samus nodded her head in agreement.

"Very well, let's see if we can find anyone here to help us" Samus said as she then took control over the panels and broadened their search for anyone.

They waited for a few minutes and decided to simply gaze at the stars in the sky to pass the time. They finally got a signal and location!

"A station is out here" Samus said as Captain Falcon took control of his ship and flew them towards it.
