Episode 9: The Opening Ceremony is Interrupted by this Clearly Evil Broadcast

(And we are on the Brawl chapters! Let's go! This was my first Smash game! I saw the adds for Wii U and 3DS smash and decided to get this one. Now, thanks to Smash, I've played so many games, met so many friends, and gone on so many adventures! Here is to more! Enjoy!)

              The three princesses were standing above the crowd that was excited for the tournament to begin. The princesses were looking at each other and the crowded arena.

"Oh, this is so exciting!" Princess Peach exclaimed in delight as she waved to everyone.

"I am too! I cannot wait to see who else was invited to this tournament" Princess Zelda said in delight as she looked at another version of herself, "What do you think? Do you know anyone who could possibly be attending this?"

"I am not sure myself" she replied honestly even if she hoped for one fighter to appear.

The crowd suddenly cheered as the two gates on the opposite end of the arena opened to reveal Mario and Kirby! Princess Zelda and Peach were happy to see them again as Twilight Zelda overlooked them and held her reservations for them. She would make her decision after their fight.

"Welcome one and all to the annual Super Smash Brothers Brawl Tournament! Are we excited?!" Peach exclaimed to the audience as she held a microphone in her hands.

Everyone cheered loudly and excitedly in reply as Mario and Kirby waved to the crowd.

"For our first round, we have Mr. Video Game Himself in the left corner!" Peach said as she gestured to the left where Mario stood.

He tossed his hat off head and jumped to catch it.

He then waved to the crowd with both hands while shouting, "Yahoo! Let's a go!"

"And in the right corner, we have the Pink Demon himself, Kirby!" Zelda introduced as she turned to the right corner.

Kirby stood on his feet, waved his hands above his head, and said excitedly, "Hi!"

Everyone cheered as Twilight Zelda stepped forward and announced, "And let the first match of the brawl begin!"

Mario and Kirby faced each other determinedly. They charged at each other as Mario threw a punch at the pink demon first. Kirby jumped and hovered above Mario before turning into a Thowmp and trying to get the drop on the plumber. Mario rolled away to then jumping in the air and throwing a ball of fire at Kirby. Kirby opened his mouth to eat the fire ball. Then, he lunged to kick Mario. Mario blocked it, but Kirby then summoned his hammer. Kirby let his hammer store up power before taking one giant swing to knock Mario into a wall!

"O' wwwwwaaahhh!" Mario exclaimed as he went flying and crashed into the wall.

Kirby then floated over the plumber and then held a sword above his head to deliver a strong strike to knock Mario into his trophy form! Kirby then gently landed on the ground as the crowd erupted into a frenzy of applause. Kirby waved his two hands above his head and spun around with a grin.

"Well, is that Mr. Video Game Himself doing his best?" Zelda asked with a teasing expression as Peach pouted.

"Perhaps he's been slacking off. I might have to help Bowser with training him when Bowser kidnaps me again" Peach reasoned as Twilight Zelda blinked at her reasoning.

Kirby then tapped Mario's golden stand to awaken him. Mario rubbed his head as he groaned until he saw Kirby holding his hand out to him. Mario grinned, took his hand, and shook it. They then waved at the crowd who cheered in delight. The three princesses were grinning at the excitement of the crowd and were ready to have another fight begin. That is until Kirby heard a familiar humming and looked up to see a familiar ship flying over them. It had the same dark wings and mask as darkness poured from it like rain.
