Paralogue One: Trainer Red Wants to Battle as New Friends are Invited

(And we're back! Brawl is ready to go! Who is excited?! I figured it would be best to start with Red, since he is an iconic character. He's the first trainer most got to play as or later on. Don't worry, it isn't just him who makes his debut! Enjoy!)

         "Seriously?! That actually happened?!" Red, the Fighter and 9th Pokémon League Champion, exclaimed.

"Yeah. It was exhausting!" Green recounted to the Fighter as she had herself a smoothie.

Both were currently at Saffron City and exchanging stories at a local café. Red would normally head to the training dojo to meet with any Gym Leader from Kanto to Johto who wanted a battle. After being on Mt. Silver, he figured it would be better if he was somewhere near and not far. Yellow had returned to the forest with Pika and her Pikachu, Chuchu. Blue was busy being a Gym Leader and was even training some of Green's Pokémon.

Red is the 9th Pokémon League Champion as well as the Fighter among the Dex Holders. Born in Pallet Town, he saved Kanto twice, Johto, and Hoenn twice. He is a strong, determined, and smart fighter. He trained Gold and is often invited to many fighting tournaments in many regions. He is close friends with Blue and Green and cares for Yellow deeply.

"Hm, I really wish I could've been there. It sounds like a lot of fun" Red said as he ate some chips.

"Fun and exhausting. Why does saving the world require so much work? Heck, we didn't get anything out of it!" she replied to him as he simply chuckled and held a smirk, "What are you up to, Red?"

He stood up and pulled his backpack off. He dug through it until he grinned. He then slowly pulled out an all too familiar invitation. Green's eyes were wide as she then slammed her fists on the table.

"No, no, no, NO!" Green shouted as she pointed at him, "How did you get one?!"

In Red's hands was the Smash Brothers Invitation. Pika was invited to the previous one, but Yellow accompanied him. Red and Yellow had mentioned that the invitation was delivered straight to Pika instead of the trainer. This meant that Red, himself, was invited!

"They wanted a Pokémon Champion, so invited me" Red answered with a smirk as he handed the Evolver the letter.

She pulled it out of his hand and read it herself. The letter did ask for Red to participate, but it also stated that Red could use any Pokémon. She then held a smirk herself as she called Blue over. It didn't take long for him to arrive and meet with his friends. He didn't come alone, because Yellow was with him who had Pika and Chuchu.

"Hey, what's up?" Blue asked as he hopped off his Charizard as Green held the invitation to him.

Blue nodded his head as Pika the letter in his hands.

"Wow! You got another invite, buddy? That's great! Looks like we will be opponents!" Red said with confidence as Pika cheered himself.

Yellow grinned, but Red turned to her and asked in a friendly manner, "I hope you don't mind supporting Pika again Yellow. I'm going to be in the tournament this time!"

"Hold it, Red" Blue said as he showed Red the letter, "You need three Pokémon for tournament. Without Pika, who are you going to use?"

Before Red could answer, Green cut in and answered, "Your Charizard, my Blasty, and his Saur!"

Both boys were surprised by her statement as she tossed out Ririri. As the Ririripuff appeared on the table, the invitation appeared in her hands.

"Come on, we need to show the worlds that our Pokémon are great! So, why not have Red command them? He's done it before!" Green said as she took the letter and pulled out a pen from Red's bag.
