"I like you like this," I say after he's pulled away and is now just straddling my hips.
"Like what?" He raises an eyebrow.
"Like doing everything you just did," I say innocently.
"That's what happens when you tell me to stay away," he smirks down at me.
"Maybe I should do it more often," I tease.
"Please don't," he laughs. "It was hell. I don't think I could survive that again."
"Same here," I sigh. "I stared at my phone all day today waiting for you to message me."
"I wanted to message you so badly, but you wanted space so I gave it to you. I just couldn't last any longer after not being with you at school all day. I genuinely felt... lost."
I nod, "today sucked while you were at school."
"Did you like the song on TikTok?" He asks, changing the subject.
"Yeah, it was really good! I've never heard it before, what's the name of it? I definitely want to add it to my playlist."
"You've never heard it before because... I wrote it."
It takes a few seconds for what he said to sink in. "You... wrote it?"
"Yeah, yesterday, actually. I called it Lost Without You, because that's truly how I feel. I want and need you in my life, y/n."
"It's a full song?"
"Yeah," he nods.
"You wrote a whole song. For me?"
"Yeah," he nods again.
I reach up and pull his face down to mine, kissing him with a new found passion. "I love you, Cole Chase Hudson."
He smiles, "I love you too, y/full/n."***
He plays the entire song for me and I'm crying at the end of it. He really wrote this song for me. A full, over three minute song.
"I'm going to need that song," I say, "there's no way I can stop listening to it now."
"You really think it's that good?" He asks nervously.
"It's perfect, Chase," I lay my head on his chest and feel the rise and fall of his chest with each breath he takes.
"How did you get into my house?" I ask him, suddenly being reminded of how he bursted into my room after I told him I'd be his date to homecoming.
"I may have compelled your mom to leave the door unlocked when she left for work." He says with an innocent smile.
I laugh, "you didn't."
"Afraid so," his chest vibrates with silent laughter. "She wouldn't do it without being compelled, saying that I should just wait until you're ready to start being with you again."
I nod knowingly, "sounds like something she'd do."
"What would you have done if I said no?" I ask in wonder.
"Probably came up and got on my knees and begged you to at least consider it," he says.
"There's no way I could've said no to you," I reassure him. "You're all I've ever wanted, even if you are a bit of a dummy," I joke.
He laughs out loud, "yeah, I can be a dummy at times."
"You make up for it, though."
"I try," he sighs. "Your parents just got home, fyi."
"Okay," I sigh. I really wanted to kiss him like he had me, but I guess that'll have to wait. I don't want my parents walking in on us. That'd be so awkward and embarrassing.
