Overly Prepared.

Chase comes back upstairs with four overstuffed grocery bags and plops them down at the foot of the bed.
"Did you buy their entire stock?" I laugh.
"No, I did some research and bought a few extra things that may help," he smiles proudly. "First of all, here's your Midol," he digs it out of the first bag and tosses it to me. I quickly open it and take two pills with a mouthful of water.
"I got you some more pads," he pulls the box out of the same bag and lays them on the foot of the bed. "You were running low," he shrugs sheepishly and I notice he got the exact same kind I had in my bathroom.
"So that's what you were doing in the cabinet under the sink," I shake my head with a smile.
He pulls out item after item from the rest of the bags and shows me that he got me my favorite candy, strawberry ice cream, sundae toppings, chips, and an extra fluffy purple blanket.

He comes back after putting the ice cream stuff in their respective places and I hold my arms out to him

He comes back after putting the ice cream stuff in their respective places and I hold my arms out to him. He walks over and stands in between my arms and I pull him down into me in the tightest hug.
"Thank you," I whisper in his ear.
He pulls away and sits down next to me and smiles sheepishly, "I know it was a bit much, but it's better to be overly prepared than under prepared."
"Have I mentioned you're the best boyfriend ever?" I smile sweetly and lay my head on his shoulder.
"Only once or twice," he jokes before kissing the top of my head a couple of times.
I sigh contentedly and wrap my arms around his torso, cuddling into him as much as possible.
"Ow, shit," I straighten up as it feels like a knife is stabbing me in the side. I press my hand into my side, trying to get the cramp to go away. I feel Chase tense beside me as he worries about me.
"If you think it'll help you can squeeze my hand whenever it starts hurting," he offers.
I shake my head, not daring to open my eyes with how much pain I'm in.
He waits in silence until the pain subsides.
"Okay, it's gone," I breathe out.
"Another thing that should help is a hot shower," he says.
"Did you really just search that?" I laugh.
He shrugs sheepishly with a small smile, "I just don't want you to be in pain anymore."
I nod, "I think I'm going to try that."
"Okay, I'll be here," he kisses me gently before I slowly make my way to the bathroom.
