Chapter 39: Kiyomi

Conan's POV
I couldn't stay still. I kept pacing back and forth inside the police station. It has past three hours and there's still no sign of Y/n. Inspector Megure sent a search party to search for her but they found no sight of her.

The only thing they found was her phone which was probably why she didn't call me. But other than that, nothing else was found.

He also made a report about it to the news. He wanted to print out paper of Y/n missing but the other detectives stopped him. Yes, detectives. Hattori was near Tokyo and when he saw the news, he felt the urge to rush here.

Nizaburo Shiratori. Miwako Sato. Wataru Takagi. Kazunobu Chiba. Kogoru Mouri. And Hattori Heiji. I didn't notice before but she has a handful of people caring about her.

No one witnessed the act meaning if Y/n screamed, no one heard her. But what could've been the reason she was kidnapped? Money? The kidnapper could've called asking for the amount of money. But they didn't.

"Excuse me?"

My thoughts were interrupted by a voice. God how I wished that was Y/n coming in clearing things up. Of how she just got lost but somehow made it to the police station. But it sadly wasn't her.

It was a middle aged woman wearing a long skirt, tucked in T-shirt, a small coat, and flats. Her hair was a dirty blonde and had light brown eyes that were filled with worried. Everyone, including Ran, turned to look at the woman who came in.

"Can we help ya? We're in the middle of somethin'." Hattori asked turning away from the woman

"I'm sorry for interrupting you all...but I couldn't help but to rush immediately to the police station!" She exclaimed

"Pardon?" Sato asked puzzled

"I...I saw the little girl in the news...That one!" She pointed at the TV making everyone look at it. The TV replayed the picture of Lilith

Everyone's eyes lit up and quickly rushed to her. Or interrogated her.

"WHEN DID YOU SEE HER??" Oji-san was first to ask

"Around 10:56."

"What were you doing at that hour?" Shiratori asked

"I was walking back home from buying a few things. I still have the receipt." She replied taking out a receipt and handing it to Sato

"Did ya see anythin' or anyone?" Hattori questioned

"No...I saw her walking alone."

"Do you remember the street name?" I asked joining in the interrogation

"That street doesn't have a name. But it's to the left of the Hago street. Once you turn left, you'll certainly know you're there by how empty it is."

After a few more questions, she was free to leave. But to call or come back again if she remembered something else that she could've missed

Inspector Megure ordered a few police officers to go check around that area. And to call him if they found anything new.

"Oi, Kudo!" Heiji whispered to me, "Have ya found anythin'?"

"No..." I whispered back as I ran my hand through my hair, "I don't know where she is. I don't know who she is with. I don't know if she's being tortured. I don't know...nothing!!" I said frustrated

"Calm down, calm down. She may be alone with a stranger but surely she's giving him a hard time!" Heiji said remembering that time when you attacked him with knock out gas. "She's full of surprises! She may have escaped and is probably running towards the nearest police station." He continued
