Chapter 28: Sherry

Author's POV
Conan ran up to a train station after telling you to go home. He felt bad for yelling at you, but he didn't want to see you get injured again because of him.

It'll be his death if you die. Or go back to Kaito with any injuries. He remembered what Heiji said about your brother. God knows what he'll do to Shinichi once you go back home.

He shook his head and bit his bottom lip seeing how he had to make another stop somewhere else. He's in Daitoma but still, he can't find anything.

Nobody can give him information about the man with the black cap. Conan turned around and noticed a broker store. He went inside thinking he'll maybe get at least a bit of information.

He saw a middle aged man inside and decided to ask him questions that connected with the disappearance.

"A ware-house?"

"Yes. Did you not rent one recently?" Conan asked while the man looked through his files

"No...Recently, we didn't rent anything like that."

Conan stayed silent for a few seconds, "Maybe some years ago..."

The man sighed and put the files away, "You're bothering me! Go join your friends and go home!"

"My...friends...?"

The man pointed behind Conan making him turn around with a raised brow. A sweat dropped from his cheek seeing the detectives boys behind the glass of the Broker Store.

"As usual, you thought you got us!" Mitsuhiko yelled coming into store as the others followed behind

"How did you..."

"She told us you would continue alone..so she said to follow you!" Ayumi exclaimed

"She?" Conan questioned

'Did Y/n really tell them to follow me?' He asked himself

Ayumi nodded, "Yep! Didn't you, Ai?"

"Ai?"

"Where's Lilith-chan? I thought she was with you.." Mitsuhiko asked looking around

"O-oh well...she went home."

Conan felt relieved that you listened to him and went home like he told you. You would always ignore his orders and do whatever you want which led to death.

But somehow you managed to survive them all. Of course, Black Swan isn't easy to defeat right?

"Don't you know a writer who lives in the neighborhood?" Toshiya asked the man catching Conan's attention

"A writer?" Conan questioned turning around, "What do you mean?"

"After his disappearance, my brother phoned once. My grandmother took it, but she doesn't hear very well and he talked to fast. The only thing she was able to understand was, I am with people like Soseki." Toshiya explained

"Did you tell that to the police?" Genta asked

"Yes! But it useless..Maybe my grandmother misunderstand...or it was just a joke.."

"But your brother adores Soseki, right? So you don't have to worry.." Ayumi said with her hand on Toshiya's shoulder

'I see..He must've phoned secretly. His kidnappers saw it, and they hung up..' Conan thought to himself

"There is someone who looks like Soseki nead here. The boss of the book store in the corner of the street, to tell you, his nicknamed is, 1000-bill." The man said
