it's been a long time
(Shinohara POV)
I showered and brushed my teeth to clean myself and visit Kanji in the middle of night. However, I saw my texture changed into something out of an isekai game. I looked like I came from some mobile game? Wait... I looked like a reflective mirror myself, my hair reflected in shards and when I looked through an actual mirror there was a purple outline on my iris and my eyeball reflected in blue! What happened before class ended? Did anyone notice? Someone hacked the texture files, did it?
I brought snacks in case I would get hungry halfway through, there was only a bag of free chips left in the fridge and I don't want to cook.
I escaped my room and evaded the CCTVs as much as possible and went to his room. Thank god, the door opened on time.
"Satsuki?"
I rushed into the room, tripped on something and fell.
"Oof!"
"h-Huh? You look different."
I crawled up and sat on the floor. Upon seeing him there was quite the difference too. Did it happen to everyone? None of the rooms changed, only people's body textures. Kanji grabbed a rope and tied my waist to his desk chair. I moved my legs to find some metal pole that could hit him.
"Huh?"
"Hehehe don't move. I just wanna say you, look like something from an isekai game. n-Not that you're like a heroine though."
So I'm still an ugly girl to him?
"What did you mean? But didn't you confess to me?"
Waaah but how? I'm not jealous? What's with his thinking? He nodded, then showed me photos of Karuizawa-san and Horikita-san on his phone. The two worst cases of texture change, it was Karuizawa-san with a bluish tint on her skin and glowing cyberpunk eyes, with black dots on her hair especially around the ponytail area. She was in the cafe at around 5PM while someone took a photo of her and spreaded the meme. Horikita-san had pink hair, a red nose and sakura patterns in her eyes. Her iris were disc-shaped and really large. She was eating a cherry popsicle at that time without looking at the camera.
"Do you have anything to do with this?"
Me? Umm... how did it happen anyway?
"Ah, no... it happened to me too."
"Did you hack the files?"
"F-f-files? Wh, well... what files?"
"Hm?"
"Eh?"
You aren't immune either manlet. There was a visible change in Kanji's skin texture. Rather, there were a few scratch marks on his hands and the extremities (nose, fingertips) were slightly pink as if it was tenderized meat.
