"This isn't going to take too long, I promise," Sunshine told him. She had given him an address to a place where she was thinking of having the wedding.
"I hope you're right," he sighed. What he thought was just going to be one of his days off was now taking up both of them. They had just gotten engaged and neither of them had a single clue as to what they were going to go with.
The party thing wasn't too bad. A few of them were shocked to see Daniel there, but that wasn't anything new. He looked better than when Valentino saw him last. He was just going to try and keep some distance from him for a while. At least, until he knew that he was going to be clean.
Yeah, he went down that path.
Most of the people there were just excited about the announcement. All the people invited were the one's that they were wanting to be their groomsmen and bridesmaids. It wasn't specified in the invitation because they wanted to keep it a secret.
"The date isn't going to be until next year, anyway," Sunshine explained. "We have plenty of time, I just thought it would be best to get this out of the way so that we can all plan together!"
While the women were all planning things like the bachelorette party and things like that, Valentino was in charge of the responsibilities of being the best man. One of those responsibilities was to give them advice about what to do for their wedding.
And, for some reason, that meant that he had to meet them at this chapel all the way on the outskirts of Amor where they were hoping to have the wedding.
"Nikita," Valentino looked over to him. "Just what have I gotten myself into?"
If he wasn't nervous about this before, he sure was now. He didn't know just how much chaos this was going to be. Their wedding wasn't for another six months and they had nothing planned or set up. He decided to pick up Nikita so he could at least get to talk to him alone. When he was with Sunshine, there was no getting anything out of him.
"That's what I keep asking myself," Nikita sighed, resting his head on the headrest.
"Do you regret asking her to marry you?"
"What?" he looked at him in shock. "No, no. I would never regret that," he shook his head. "It's just..."
"What?"
"I didn't know how stressful a wedding could be," he rubbed his face a bit. He looked tired that morning. They had stayed up pretty late at that party the night before. "So many things to figure out."
"Six months doesn't exactly give you guys much time, either," he told him. "Maybe you guys should push back the date a little."
"No," Nikita said. "The date is already set with chapel."
"Why did you guys plan it for so soon?"
"Because," he gave a small smile, looking out of his window a little. "It's our anniversary."
Dammit. These guys were too adorable for their own good.
Valentino shook his head again and kept on driving. Nikita always liked riding in his corvette. He was the only one who didn't freak out when he went fast in it the first year he got it. Lou had gotten it for him right when he got his license. Of course, it wasn't in the best shape back then, but he was told that if he worked on it and fixed it, Lou would pay for any paint job he wanted on it.
It only added to more fun memories when he was a teenager.
"Please, tell me you guys at least have the colors for what the wedding is going to be," Valentino asked as they parked by the chapel. One look to Nikita and he got his answer.
