"This is so cute," the blond said, holding onto a pillow. "Doesn't it make you want to just take something squishy and just tear it to pieces?"

"You're one of those people that talk about squishing cute things, aren't you?" Justin asked. His green eyes looked concerned for the heart shaped pillow that he was holding.

They were in the breakroom this time, enjoying the nice cushions of the plushy furniture. There weren't many people there, thankfully. They were getting pretty annoyed of all the people asking them how the case was going. As if they couldn't just flip to a channel and see. No, Benny and them had to explain so many times what was going on and the finer workings of it all. Taking the easy way out.

But Benny couldn't be too mad right now. Not after seeing possibly the cutest thing he's ever seen in his career! It made all the hard work worth it. Along with a little heartache.

"Okay, let's get one thing straight," Benny put a finger up. "Just because I say I want to squish cute things, doesn't mean that it's going to be to death. It just means that it's cute and I want to hug it."

"I bet your boyfriend absolutely loved you when you were mortal," Sarah chuckled, enjoying the conversation while she could. At least with this case she had a lot of time to rest. Any other time she would be working at least ten cases at once. When you got all the way to her level, that was common. It was a piece of cake, but it did make her tired after a while. She didn't want to get demoted or put her job in jeopardy, but this was a nice break. She just hoped this all ended well and she wasn't in trouble by the end of it.

"Oh, he did," Benny smiled happily. "That was back when it was kept hidden, when everyone was just starting to make a movement about it in the eighties. But we lived together as roommates in our own little apartment."

"That sounds horrible to have to hide it," Justin frowned.

"It wasn't that bad," Benny shrugged. "We just kept it to ourselves. No one needed to know but us anyway back then."

Looking at Casimir and Valentino being all lovey dovey brought him right back to that moment that he had with his own lover. They couldn't get married back then, but they were together ever since high school. Although he was glad to be in a job like this, he missed him quite a lot. They would always have nights where they just felt horrible. Then they would hold each other in the dark and look through the small window to their apartment, talking about dreams that they would one day make true.

"Better than my time," Will said. "But, then again, if you went to the parties, everyone was so drunk that no one noticed if some men or women decided to disappear with each other."

"Did you do that?" Sarah asked him curiously.

"Oh no," Will smiled. "I was merely there for the party."

All the stories from the past aside, they were all happy to see that Casimir and Valentino didn't have any issues between them. They both had their faults, but they came together perfectly. None of them were expecting Valentino to feel insecure. They thought that he was down because of his car and worrying about Amy showing up again. But it didn't surprise Benny that he would feel a bit intimidated. After all, Casimir went from one extreme to the next with his relationships. That was why they were worried that these two weren't going to work out at first.

Which made it so much more adorable now that they cleared things up. They were happily eating lunch and catching up. Benny thought that the channel was going to cut out before that. Things were getting heated, and that was one thing that cupids weren't allowed to watch.

They respected people's privacy after all.

"Things are starting to look good again," Will said, leaning back into the couch. "Now all we need to do is sit back and wait."
