"Are you sure this is going to work?" Oliver asked nervously. He didn't know why he decided to follow everyone down here, but it was better than being alone in that breakroom, watching everything from a TV screen. And he was trying to wait out the yelling he was sure his department was going to have to deal with. Somebody was going to get in a lot of trouble for misplacing those files. He just hoped the blame wasn't somehow put on him, because those files were lost way before he started this line of work.

Everyone loved picking on the new guy.

"Come on, Newbie," Larry elbowed him. "This is Will and Benny we're talking about! If it doesn't work, it's going to at least be entertaining!"

Larry hadn't been a cupid for as long as Will had, but he had seen some things. Many things. And, out of all of them, Will still never ceased to surprise him with something new and completely out there. If they were still mortal, he'd be begging Will to write a play or act in a movie. He was perfect at improv and coming back from his mistakes. It was hilarious just how he could mess with the ones higher than him and still get away with it. The man had talent.

"Don't say that," Sarah hit Larry in the arm. "They need this to work."

"That's a really small target," Justin frowned. "Are you sure Benny's going to be able to do it?"

For every Cupid, there was a spot in which they had to hit in order for their arrows to be effective. The love target point was big and easy to get to for most people. But the smaller it got, the more difficult it was for the person to fall in love. And, since Lou was a Closed Heart case, it meant that the target point for him was really small. That was why only the best of the best got those cases. Justin had to help a cupid with his case just a short time ago, just so he could hit his mark at the right time. It was difficult.

And Lou? His love target point was even smaller than what Justin had seen before.

"I have no clue," Sarah answered him, seeing the exact thing that Justin was seeing. "I just hope he can."

"You forget that Cupids are trained for this stuff," Larry told them. "They're taught to hit their target, even if it's as small as that."

"Yeah," Sarah said. "But I don't think Benny's hit a mark as small as that."

They were in downtown at the moment. Akari had been waiting for the right time to make her mark. From what she had told Will and them as they were flying down here, she tried hurrying things up once she got a bad feeling. She said that she knew something bad was going to happen. She was close to finishing up all she needed before anything bad happened. It just so happened that she was a few hours late.

"You know," Larry said. "I can see Valentino coming into our line of work when the time comes."

"How?" Sarah asked. "He absolutely hates love."

"Hate's a strong word," Larry told her. "He's just selective with the ones he loves. Once he gets close to someone, he protects them and stays loyal to them," he smirked at her. "He also did you and Akari's job for you."

"That was because Akari had pushed him to get home on time," Sarah argued. "If she hadn't then Valentino would have still gone to work."

"Still," Larry said, motioning towards the small group walking with Lou. "There's only so much convincing that a Cupid can do in a case like this one. Part of it just had to be Valentino's will as well."

"I just don't see it," Sarah shook her head.

"Give it a few years," he smiled at her. "You'll see that he isn't just some cold man who can't fall in love."
