"Amy?" Casimir asked. He wasn't expecting her to be here. He had no clue that she had even known about this city. It was a tourist place, but it still wasn't as popular as Miami.

It had been a normal day for him. He had been busy catching up on his extra workload that he had gotten after the holidays. It felt nice to get back into the swing of things, and Casimir always loved keeping busy. He had been on the phone most of that day. He had just decided to go on a walk to clear his clouded mind and enjoy the sites again. He could never get over the beauty of this small city.

What he wasn't expecting was to see her in the flesh. He hadn't seen her since Fall. And that was in court when she was getting the restraining order on him. As much as he tried to fight that, he couldn't win against her.

She looked so awkward and scared as she stood there. It hurt to see her that way. He never wanted to scare her. He just wanted to be with her and share that happiness that she always gave off. He missed it. She used to always have a smile on her face that would light up the entire room. And if they were outside, the whole neighborhood would light up with the twinkle in her eyes.

He didn't know why she was here. They had never come here. Casimir had picked a town that he knew she had never heard of, just so that she wouldn't have a reason to come here and he wouldn't be tempted to go and see her. It was so he could keep his business in the state while also being able to keep safe. Amor was supposed to be his safe haven, he supposed.

But she was here, looking at him with terrified eyes in the middle of downtown. He hadn't known that he made her that hurt. He was blinded back then by his own emotions back then. Now he couldn't help but feel horrible for it all.

They both stood there frozen for a second or two, shocked to see each other. He didn't know why she was there. She didn't have a job that would have brought her all the way over here. Not that he knew of, at least.

"What are you doing here?" she asked, her breath shaky. He couldn't tell if it was from the chill of the day or not. It was mid afternoon and the sun was already close to setting.

"I live here," he answered. He didn't know what else to say. He wasn't even sure if he should be talking to her. Since the court case, he had been trying to stay as far as possible from her, finding the perfect place that she would never come to, so that he wouldn't be tempted again. Amor wasn't too small of a city, and was relatively well-known as a tourist attraction, but not as much as Miami was.

"Oh," was all she said.

The air was tense around them, making matters only worse. There weren't many people around, and none of them walked past them, or else he was sure they would feel it too. Although that could be why they stayed away from them.

"I should go," she said, quickly trying to walk away. He should have let her. It was better this way, that they stay apart, unknowing of each other's locations or lives. This is where it should have ended.

But there was one thing he had to get off his chest first. Before they parted ways forever.

"Wait!" he stopped her, trying not to make a move towards her. He knew that would only scare her. "Please."

He was lucky that she listened to him. The woman looked stressed and worried, but still just as beautiful as before.

"I don't want to do this anymore, Cas," she shook her head, pain in her eyes. "I have things to go do, and a life to live."

Standing here in front of her like this reminded him of when she first broke up with him. She said words like that then, only more hurtful. Those were the words that shattered his heart and left him lost and confused as he tried his best to pick up the pieces.
