Well, his weekend didn't go the way he wanted it to. It was frustrating, but he supposed it was manageable. He was too used to doing absolutely nothing on his weekends. He would go for a relaxing drive, maybe go with Lou and just see how far he could go. Then he would get his chores done early so that his day before work would be relaxing. Every once in a while, he would go to the bar just for the fun of it. He was only twenty-two, so he hadn't gotten bored of seeing just how much he could drink before he passed out yet.
But, most of the time, he would spend his weekends at home just laying in bed watching TV or drawing. It was crucial to him to have some time to just enjoy by himself. He found out the hard way through school that if he didn't have it, he would get more than grumpy. That was why he didn't have any friends from college. He mainly stayed to himself no matter what.
Last weekend was packed with a bunch of different things, as Sunshine and Nikita needed help starting the wedding process. He was glad that they could figure things out easier than most. It made planning this ten times better.
He was glad that they had hired a wedding planner. Because both of them were still working and he was sure that there was going to be no way that they would be able to get everything all set up in time. Six months was hardly any time to plan a wedding. And they still had to set a date so they could send out the invitations to everyone.
The only reason why all these thoughts were flying through Valentino's head was because he had decided to accept the offer of being the Best Man. The Best Man of the wedding, along with the Maid of Honor, helped the Bride and Groom plan the wedding to the best of their capabilities. They also had to plan the bachelor and bachelorette parties. Valentino wasn't looking forward to that. The only plus side to that was that he was sure that Nikita's cousins were going to fly in by the time the party was going to take place. And those guys knew how to party.
You know, he was kind of looking forward to this wedding. Because, knowing the both of theirs families, he knew that there was going to be at least a small group of each of them that were going to be bringing alcohol. And they knew how to have a good time. Nikita wasn't up for it, but Sunshine was just going to be happy to see them all get along with everyone.
As much as six months didn't seem like that long for a wedding, though, it sure seemed daunting when he was having to consider forfeiting all of his weekends to help them plan and everything. He didn't have to go with them all the time. It was just something that his mouth had decided to volunteer for because he wanted to seem like a good friend. Nikita still seemed really stressed about all of this and he didn't want him to be the only guy there.
The next thing that he didn't like was the fact that he was forced to reactivate one of his old social media accounts because that was how the groomsmen were keeping in contact. It was more than annoying because they all wanted to play catchup or crack jokes right when he was working. And trying to keep up with that chat could wind up taking his whole lunch doing.
Speaking of lunches, Casimir decided to take up that time. He somehow managed to find him for the past two days at his lunches and talk to him. It wasn't like he wasn't a bad person to talk to, Valentino just really wanted time to himself. He couldn't deal with being this social. He didn't know how most of his friends did it. He didn't know how extroverts did it. All he knew was that it was making him more and more antsier by the second.
Casimir was good at somehow keeping a conversation with him. He didn't know how he did it when Valentino gave such frank replies, but he somehow managed to have a full-blown conversation with him that would last his entire lunch. He somehow knew how to make Valentino talk to him rather than just saying yes and no. He didn't know how he did it, and he hated just how much he seemed to enjoy it. He wanted to just tell him that he didn't feel like talking and try to be left alone, but it seemed that every time he saw Casimir, those feelings would wind up changing. Instead, he actually found himself looking for him today to see if he was going to sit next to him.
