Things have been really weird recently, Kai and I were still not really talking, I just felt like it was best to give her space and to be honest I wanted some myself. Rafael and I had a weird thing going on, I didn't know how to explain it so I wasn't even going to try to.

it was spring break right now and Uncle Ric was taking us on a road trip to look for the urn that he threw away whilst he was infected by the nasty unicorn slug.

I unfortunately had also been infected for a short while and confronted Rafael on his feelings for Hope so I was more than glad to be getting away even if it was for a short while.

Mom was actually coming with us too and I hadn't really spent that much time with her recently so that could be fun. We were currently sat in the mini bus uncle ric had rented. He and Kaleb were sat up front and then Hope, lizzie and Josie were sat in the the row behind them, that was not going well. Mom and i were sat behind them and then Dorian and Emma were sat behind us, they were apparently a couple now. They were kinda cute to be honest.

"Dr. Saltzman, this van is very... white of you." Kaleb says to Uncle Ric who looks over at him, "It's retro. "He replies making Lizzie scoff, "It's a gas-guzzling atrocity on wheels."

"It is atrocious Ric." Mom adds making Lizzie smile at her until hope lifts her head after she had leant down to grab a bag. "I brought snacks." I smile as she passes some back, sour patch kids were my favourite, oh how I loved Hope Mikaealson.

Oh, sweet. Did you pack them before or after you decided to FOMO your way onto our trip?

"Like I'm gonna let you guys chase monsters without me?"

"I would've thought you wanted to spend the break canoodling with your hipster boyfriend." I snort at that making Hope look back at me briefly, "Sorry for wanting to protect the outside world from my mistakes. You know, there's currently an urn on a river cruise spreading plagues across America because I thought a unicorn was cute. It's called accountability. Maybe there's a bracelet for it." I snort again, even though I hated that they couldn't get along I couldn't deny that it was entertaining to watch them squabble.

"Or maybe you just wanted to ruin yet another Saltzman spring break." Lizzie shoots making Hope confused. "When have I ever ruined a spring break?"

"Girls? We're gonna be in this classic automobile for six hours, all right? So, no bickering."

"It would help if it wasn't a thousand degrees in here. I'm burning up." I agreed, could he have not crack a window or something. "You're burning up. Now, that's ironic."

"What does that even mean?"

"Don't play dumb. I see you. I see right through you." I honestly don't think Hope knew what Lizzie was talking about. "I don't know what you're talking about. What happened to playing nice?"

Lizzie then asks Josie something after saying she was going back to being a bitch but Josie doesn't respond because she needs her music so that she doesn't get car sick. That starts an argument and my god I really regretted coming on this stupid road trip.

"Girls! Girls, there is no reason to be tense or awkward, okay? Now knock it off. We're gonna get through this together. God help us all." Mom interrupts them thankfully before turning to me, "I know you don't like long car rides wanna nap?" I roll my eyes with a smile, "I'm not a baby mom."

"But you want a nap?" I give in and rest against her shoulder as she strokes my hair like she used to when I was a kid. "I know somethings bothering you and I hope you know that whatever it is I'm here for you." I smile once again, "thanks mom." I say before drifting off.
