"One of us need to stay behind?" I ask confused once I've rejoined the others, "yes someone will need to be the anchor to the prison world."

"Why?" Why couldn't we all just leave and let this thing disappear? "Because if there is no anchor we will all die before we can leave." That sucked. "And we can't let one of the psycho ex students be the anchor why?" Personally I was putting my vote to the werewolf Diego who was glaring at me right now.

"No." Uncle Ric says firmly, "this is all my fault, no one deserved to be sent here so no one is getting left behind, I'm staying." Mom stays uncharacteristically quiet, I'd apparently missed her go off on him, I could never imagine that though, mom was so forgiving she would literally forgive anything and she never shouted at anyone.

"Well Sebastian is out there free and he'll come for you." I say worried, I mean sure I was mad that he knew where my father was the whole time but it didn't mean I wanted him dead. He was still my uncle and I heard aunt Bonnie sent dad here cause he gave aunt Elena to Cade when she was in her magic coma, so I was a bit conflicted there.

"I'll be fine." He assures me although I still wanted to offer up Diego, but apparently they were nice now, Josie turned jades humanity on somehow I mean the other two never had their humanity off so how did we know they'd truly turned nice all of a sudden?

We all get handed a staff as we make our way to the field and prepare to leave, Jo instructs to us that we'd have to plunge these in the ground and then leave as soon as the doorway emerged.

I look around at everyone as we do so, I still wanted to leave Diego behind, say what you will but he was giving off major bad vibes. I feel so nervous I almost start chewing on my nails as we wait, I watch Josie in anticipation as she kneels on the ground her hands weaving into the ground as she starts the spell.

The ground around the staffs begin to glow letting us know she'd done it and that we could leave. Dad isn't the first one to step into his circle surprisingly, if I'd been stuck here half as long as he had I wouldn't have been waiting for anything, but he does, he waits until mom and Kiara have stepped into there's and then he turns to me. "You can go ahead dad, I just want to wait a second." It was stupid but I was hoping Sebastian would appear. "I'm not leaving until I know that you're safe." He says making me nod before I mutter a spell that will knock him back into his doorway.

Being a vampire was cool, I finally had my own unlimited source of magic to siphon from I felt like I'd finally been given something I'd desperately been missing my whole life. It made me feel more complete.

"Arabella." Uncle Ric says also wanting me to get to safety, Lizzie had just gone reluctant to leave her father. Now it was only uncle Ric, Diego and I. Well Josie was here too but she wasn't paying us any attention.

"I know, I know uncle Ric. I just wanted to see if I'd get to say goodbye." I say accepting that he wasn't coming and that I wouldn't get a goodbye. He probably didn't even know what we were doing and even if he did he was probably way too far gone to make it back in time.

"My dad said the malivore pit could be a way out too," I tell him, "so after we're all gone maybe you can head there and try that? I know we'd all forget you but Hope wouldn't and she'd bring our memories back." He smiles at me in appreciation and nods, "Thank you, now go your parents are probably worried sick."

Before I can Diego suddenly attacks uncle Ric, I knew he was off, he shouts about never being able to forgive him, I use my newfound speed to knock him away, but that just makes me his new target. Oh yeah wolves hated vampires and it didn't help that it was a full moon tonight.
