FIFTEEN

"You are kidding, MG and Raf are not missing." I throw my head back in annoyance as well as exhaustion. I just wanted to sleep, "I 'm obviously very worried about them." I say after noticing the looks I was getting. "Lets just go." I say making my way to the door. We had literally just gotten home from the roadtrip from hell and I had planned to sleep for the next three days to recover.

"I don't know why my locator spell didn't work." Hope says as the three of us walk outside looking for the boys, "If you can't find them, it means they're being cloaked or..."

"Or they're dead. I'm aware."

"They're probably fine and if they're not dead when we find them, I will kill them myself." I huff annoyed making Uncle Ric shoot me an unimpressed look.

"What would possess them to leave campus? Why would they be so irresponsible?"

"They wouldn't. Something must have happened."

"I mean they're stupid teenage boys so we never know."

It seems I spoke too soon because we then find Raf curled up against the gate and he was still human looking vey disturbed.

"Raf? Raf! Hey, are you okay?" Hope asks running up to him before I could. "MG... Landon..."

"Hey, what's going on? Where's Landon?" she asks after his confsued mumbles. "I can't remember."

Great.

"Lunar psychosis?" Uncle Ric questions after we've taken Rafael back to the school and are stood in his room whilst he's sat on a chair. "That's a thing?"

"Quit talking. Making noise." He says before suddenly growling and lunging at us. Thankfully Emma holds her arm out and spells him, "it's a thing." She replies. "What did you do to him?"

"It's okay. I'm just slowing down his heart. It will calm him." She explains as Rafael suddenly snaps out of it. "What's happening to me? I keep... losing time." He asks looking between the four of us. "As I said... lunar psychosis, which means that your mind is in flux, trapped between... your wolf and human states, making it harder to bridge the gap and access your memories like you normally would. It's very rare. It only happens after a premature reversion. So something caused your body to shift back before the full moon was over, leaving you like this." Emma explains.

"Wh-What kind of something?" He asks. "Usually trauma. Something bad happened." Hope says making me look at her, "We don't know that."

"Three of them left, and only one came back. Something bad happened." She says making Emma sigh, "Hope...why don't you give us a minute? Go on and check on the other wolves."

"I'm worried about this one."

"Hope... please." She looks at me and I nod indicating that she should listen. Her mind was not clear right now, and I think she needed a moment to herself to breath and just calm down.

"What's the danger of him turning wolf again? I mean, this whole wing is filled with sleeping vampires."

"Don't worry, I'll keep him sealed in. What his mind needs now is to be surrounded by all the things that are familiar to him, that connect him to his humanity, not his lycanthropy." She says before turning to me, "maybe considering your relationship status you should stay close by him, you may help." I feel my face heat up as Uncle Ric turns to me confused before looking between Raf and I, it was very awkward to be put on blast like that.

He then nudges me to go forwards so I sigh quietly before crouching down in front of Raf and taking his hands in mine. "Rafael, we'll do everything we can to help you, but you need to tell us exactly what happened. You were supposed to be here on campus for spring break with Landon and MG, and now we can't find either one of them."

He stares at me for a moment before it seems as though he's remembered something and so he looks up at the adults and begins to explain his memory. Which consisted of them taking MG home for the holiday, which they really shouldn't have done I'm guessing by the way uncle ric shouts at him. He then leaves to try and get some more answers as Hope rejoins us.

"I don't think, I'm doing much to help so I'm gonna go find other ways." I say feeling awkward and uncomfortable but before I can get too far I feel a hand in mine. "Please don't go." It's Rafael, I nod and sit on the armrest of his chair holding his hand securely making him smile up at me.

Emma concluded that sleep was best for Rafael and so I lay with him for a while before falling asleep myself because next thing I know I'm waking up alone and it's dark outside.

I couldn't find Hope and Rafael but I didn't really have long to think about that because uncle Ric had called the school, he told me to get to the woods because they had found MG and he needed help.

So here I was walking through the dark and cold woods again, only this time I was way more worried than before and I hoped that MG would be ok.

When I finally find them, Hope is kneeling on the ground crying, I crouch down beside her immediately and wrap my arms around her as she turns into me and continues to cry. "Hope what's going on? What's wrong?" I'm insanely worried but she doesn't answer she instead shakes her head and lets me go and so I look to my uncle for answers.

He and Kaleb are crouched beside MG who hadn't been healed yet and Rafael was no where to be seen. "Oh my god, MG?" I run over, "stay back Arabella, I'm a monster."

"You're not a monster, you could never be a monster." I assure him before looking to my uncle, "why hasn't he been healed yet?" He glances over at Hope and sighs, "It's complicated, I think you should go after Rafael." He says before pointing me in the direction Raf went.

"Oh god," I breathe out once I see Raf is holding Landon's dead body as he cries, I don't say anything but I go and sit beside him placing a hand on his back not really sure what it was I could do. Especially once Hope joined us.

Kaleb and MG join us too and Raf suddenly goes for him but Kaleb and I shield Mg Whilst Hope pulls Raf back, he listens to her and they hug whilst I join MG and grab his hand to let him know I didn't blame him or think he was a monster.

Landon's body then started smoking and we all watched in shock as it suddenly burst into flames before he broke out of the ashes like a phoenix or something. Well at least he wasn't dead anymore.
