"I know you have heard this story from Rigor, your father's partner in this organization before and from me. But I believe we just told you the half of things you need to only know."

Rigor is the one who came to the hospital to meet me that day and also the one who offered me to work for this organization.

Rigor is the 'boss' second in command. And in front of me is the boss, the one who built the organization, Luther Eiffellor. The scar on his face makes him look even more scarier together with his lifeless eyes that I'd never one seen beams with emotions. And the story behind the scar on the one and only great Luther Eiffellor is the betrayal of his lover and his best friend.

I didn't know how did he get that scar on his face but it's pretty much sure it's a lot of stories to tell. After the betrayal he never gets close to any woman.

"Like what you've known, your father is a great soldier of the military forces and one of the best fighter of the organization." he paused and shook his head. "It's funny how he was able to survived the gruesome battle but not the betrayal of his wife." for a moment I saw him smile bitterly. Or was it just my hallucination?

"He was too caught up with your mother's betrayal. He killed your mother's lover. And locked the two of you on his place. We want to help him but he won't let us. I want to save you and your mother but that time...Harbinger...he is ready to defy everyone who will get on his way. And he isn't just any ordinary man. He have high ranking on military and on the organization. You can say that Harbinger alone is equivalent to 100 people of the organization. He is a threat, a danger to this country if we try to trigger him. So we turn a blind eye on you and your mother. I also believe that we are also to blame for your sufferings and for your mother's death." kahit na walang buhay ang mga mata niya habang nagkukuwento ramdam ko doon ang lungkot at pagsisisi.

"Alam kong tapos na iyon at nangyari na ang lahat pero minsan hindi ko maiwasang isipin kung hindi siguro pinagtaksilan ni mama si papa iba siguro ang sitwasyon namin ngayon." I couldn't help but to say what was supposed to be on my mind. Sa huli ay tumawa na lang ako at umiling.

"Your mother only marry your father for fame and money... at first. She originally have a lover before she met and marry your father. You can say that it's just a one sided love on Harbinger's part."

Hindi ako nakaimik agad lalo na at walang nagsabi o nabanggit sa akin tungkol sa bagay na iyon. Ano pa ba ang kailangan kong malaman tungkol sa pamilya ko?

Looking back before the only thing I can remember is how scared I am and how I'm in so much pain because of him.

I can't even remember what my mother looks like now...suddenly the image of my mother on my mind becomes blurry.

"But I guess later on she had learned to love your father." Luther back it up when he sees my reaction. Lumingon ako sa gawi niya pero hindi ako umimik. "If you want to know more about your mother you should ask him. Because I believe your father knows her much better than the rest of us." he added.

Umiling ako. "I don't need to. There's no reason for me to ask about her to him." sagot ko.

Tumango lamang siya bilang tugon sa sagot ko.

"Your father took away innocent lives because of that betrayal. I know whatever I say and tell you will never justify his actions before..." he trailed off. "dahil talaga namang tarantado, siraulo at baliw ang ama mo." napasimangot siya at sa huli ay napabuntong hininga.

Hindi ko naman alam kung bakit bigla akong natawa sa naging reaction siya.

"But I know he didn't do it. I believe in him when he said he didn't do it." nakita ko ang determinasyon sa mga mata niya ng sabihin niya iyon.

I want to ask more but the door on his office suddenly open with a bang.

Napalingon kami roon at nakita ko si Nikov.

"N-Nikov?" napatayo ako.

Malalaking hakbang ang ginawa niya papunta sa akin.

"Nikov, what happened? Kamusta ang pag-uusap niyo n———"

Hindi ko na natuloy ang sasabihin ko dahil niyakap na niya ako.

"I love you." he uttered.

Kahit nagtataka ay sumagot ako."I...I love you too." Yumakap na rin ako sa kaniya. "May problema ba?" nag-aalala kong tanong.

"Nothing. I'm sorry." humigpit ang pagkakayakap niya sa akin.

"I believe I should go and give the two of you some space." makahulugang sabi ni Luther at lumabas na ito ng silid.

Kumalas sa pagkakayakap sa akin si Nikov doon ko lang napansin na bahagyang namumula ang mga mata nito.

"I just found out the best plot twist that happened on my life today." ngumiti siya pero walang buhay.

"Nikov..." I caress his cheek.

Pumikit siya at tila ninanamnam ang ginawa kong paghaplos sa pisngi niya.

"Nevaeh," he called softly.

"Hmm?"

"I love you. I love you so much. I want you to know that you're the best thing that ever happened to me. I didn't regret meeting you. And loving you." hinaplos niya ang pisngi ko at malungkot na ngumiti. "Don't ever betray me. The thought of you leaving me is already too much to bear. But the idea of betraying me is killing me. I might go insane just like how you're father..." hindi na niya tinuloy ang sasabihin.

"Pero hindi naman kita pagtataksilan." I told.

Tumango siya at hinalikan ako.

"I know. That's why I want to thank you. And I will continue to love you." he said wholeheartedly.

"Ganoon rin ako." nangingiting sinabi ko.

"Nevaeh..."

"Mmm?"

"Your father didn't killed my mother."
