***Emerald's POV***
What a jerk. What a complete and total jerk. My words could not descrbve the jerk level that Charlie had stepped up to. The carpet had let loose strings out and tied me into place so I wouldn't try and jump into the ocean. Charlie was facing towards the sunset, his back to me. I was staring at him harshly, trying to think of possible ways I could get back to Peter. I remembered everything now. The look in his eyes when he found me, when I didn't remember, and now, when I was being taken from him. He had looked panicked, but also like he had given up, as if he was too tired to fight for me. I shivered from the thought and tried to shake off the feeling that Peter wouldn't be coming to save me. Of course he would do all he could, wouldn't he? My sudden sadness was replaced by my former anger when Charlie turned around to face me.
"How are you doing back over here?" We are almost to my house." His lips gently curved up into a little smile.
"I'm just freaking peachy, Charlie. Oh wait, I mean Charagh." The sarcasm was practically dripping from my words.
"Fine, if that's how you're going to be." He laughed at me and turned around. The anger in me was rising and I could feel it coursing through my veins.
"Fine? FINE? Charlie! You stole my memories from me! YOU STOLE MY MEMORIES! Do you even realize how messed up that is? I still have no idea what's going on." I wriggled from my restraints, but the carpet had done a good job.
"You don't understand, I had to get you out of there. There was no way you would have just come with me." He had turned around once again and I could fully see his face in the rising sun. He looked tired, like he hadn't slept in weeks.
"Then help me understand. You haven't really told me anything and I deserve some answers." He looked at my eyes and let out a long exhale. He was stubborn, but I was even more so.
"Emmy, I absolutely promise that after you sleep and eat something, I will explain everything that you want me to. Deal?" Those brown eyes always got the best of me.
"Deal. I'm still mad at you though. So don't think I'm going to forgive you that easily." I stared him down and tried my hardest to look intimidating. He just laughed a little at me and that only made me even more furious. I remained quiet and as Charlie had said, we were almost near his home. We had left the rolling ocean waves behind and land was now beneath us. I could see trees that broke through the dusty ground. The carpet slowly descended directly onto the roof of a house. It was made of a white stone with a red shingle roof. There was multiple archways adorning each side of the house. The windows were blue and yellow stainglass with a dark metal frame.
"Where am I?" I felt the warm and dry air on my skin, instantly hating the heat.
"This is my home. It's a city in India. It's hidden by a bunch of cloaking spells, so only the people living here know about it." I raised my eyebrow a little. I could have sworn Aladdin was based somewhere in the Middle East, not India...
"Oh." I said quietly. He stood up from the carpet and stared down at my current state.
"Hm. I would untie you, but this is just so much more fun." I groaned and he smiled, bending down to pick me up.
"Is this really necessary? You really don't need to carry me. My legs work fine you know? Although, I doubt my brain works since you did that weirdo obliviate crap on me." I tried to kick free, but I made little progress.
"I used an ijirat, it was the seagull, but you probably figured that out. Will you stop moving please, I'm going to drop you." His words fueled me to move and wriggle even harder, I wouldn't be treated like some pathetic captive damsel in distress.
