I had cried for centuries, ok, in reality, in was three hours. I tried to sleep, but all I could see was Peter's face, full of all the pain I had caused him. I had forgotten him and then when I remembered, it was too late. I had to believe that Peter would not give up on me, I had to believe that he would save me again, like he always did. A feeling of doubt was creeping throughout my body, what if he was done with me? I would be stuck in this stupid place with Charlie forever. I wasn't going to let that happen. I swung my legs to the edge of the bed and walked on my tiptoes to the door. The handle turned slowly in my hands and I carefully peaked my head out into the hallway. It was empty. I turned left towards a staircase leading to a lower floor, I hoped to all the stars in the sky that the floorboards wouldn't creak. I made it to the bottom of the stars just as I heard Charlie's voice behind me accompanied by knocking on a door. My heart started to race and the panic set in, I heard Charlie yell and I bolted towards a door. I tugged furiously at the door, but it was locked from the inside. Charlie's footsteps came pounding down the stairs and I turned to hide only to find Charlie was already in front of me.

"You can't run. I'm way faster than you, you know that." He had his legs crouched slightly, as if he was ready to pounce on me. I looked left and then right, there was nowhere for me to run.

"Yeah, well, so?" Great comeback, Em. That'll scare him off...

"So? You can't get away." He had won, and he knew it." I walked closer to him with my head bowed in shame and he dropped his defensive posture and sighed. Just as he was about to put his arm around me, I turned and kicked him straight in the balls. He let out a painful grunt and fell to the ground.

"Catch me if you can!" I hollered at him and laughed gleefully at my triumph. I ran back up the stairs, past the room Charlie put me in, and turned down a hallway. I stopped when two hallways leading opposite directions stood before me, this house was huge.

"Out, out. Which way is out?" I whispered to myself as I turned slowly around in a circle. I heard Charlie's voice calling out to me and in a quick decision, I ran down a hallway that lead to a dead end. Any effort to turn and run back the other way was futile, Charlie was hobbling down the hallway after me. I began feeling against the walls, looking for something that would open up a secret passage. A house this big must have one, right? As my hand had just traced over a painting, a sharp sting went through my hand. I screamed at looked up to see a knife was pinning my hand to the wall.

"Now, will you please stop running." He sounded exasperated. How inconvenient it must be that his prisoner tried to escape.

"You literal phallus cranium." I spat at him and tried to kick him away from me, but the knife tore deeper into my hand. I winced and tried to pull it out myself, but I wasn't strong enough. Charlie came up next to me and pulled the knife out.

"Thank you." I said quietly right as I head butted the prick. I think it hurt me more than it did him, however, it gave me enough time to slip past him.

"Twice in one day, Charlie. Don't underestimate me." I called over my shoulder as Charlie suddenly did a somersault over my head to stand in front of me.

"I think you are the one doing all the underestimating." I hated him in that moment more than I ever had. I brought my arm back, winding up to give him a solid punch to the scrotum. He anticipated my movements and reacted faster than me, my body fell hard to the ground, and everything went black.

***Holly's POV***

"La dee dum, this bug bite is giving me an itch, wow, Pan is really a son of a bitch." Oh yeah, my rap would totally hit number one in minutes. It had been two days since Em had been kidnapped by Mr. Jerkface and Pan was doing nothing about it. He didn't even seem upset. He actually seemed really preoccupied with some brown haired boy... Weird. I had been thinking of all possible ways I could bring Em back myself, but I'm literally useless. It all came down to one option, a horrifying option, but my only one. I would have to talk to Pan.

"Hey there, Pan. Wassup bruh? Like how's it hanging, man?" I hadn't really thought out what I was going to say, and I really wish I had.

"Holly, what do you want?" His lips came together in a firm line and he crossed his arms over his chest.

"Well, you see, Em has been gone for two whole days. I was wondering what you were doing to, you know, bring her back." He quirked his head to the side like he had never entertained such a thought.

"I am not doing anything of the sort." He began to walk away from, clearly having more important matters than saving the love his life from a psychotic greek god like man.

"Yeah, duly noted. I wanted to know why. It's kind of rather important you see." I had to jog to keep up with his long strides. Darn my short legs.

"Because she doesn't matter to me anymore. Besides, we're not going to be here much longer anyways." His lips formed a smirk and I stopped dead in my tracks. What was he even talking about? He's truly the useless one around here, I was just going to have to beat some sense into him. Or perhaps not him, but his shadow... I bet a shadow is more reasonable than that stubborn idiot is. It was settled then, I would have to find his shadow and have a nice little chat with it. If it is even possible to talk to a shadow.

***Em's POV***

I woke up to a bright light shining in my eyes. I was once again in the room Charlie had originally placed me in. I brought my had up to rub my eyes only to see silver ink creating a pattern of swirls and dots on my hand.

"What the heck?" The pattern traced up my arm and to me shoulder. I walked into the bathroom to see what was going on-

"Holy shit." I was in an enormous white gown. The top had intricate beading that flowed into a Cinderella like skirt. My hair was curled and pinned on top of my head. A silver crown with crystal jewels adorned my head. There was makeup on me as well.

"Please let me be on drugs, dreaming, or dead." I whispered to myself quietly.

"Actually, none of the above." My head whipped around to see Charlie standing in a black tux and sliver tie. He was devastatingly gorgeous with his black hair and tan skin and everything... No, remember Peter? Your soul mate?

"Oh hell no. Charlie, no. Bad Charlie! Bad, bad idea." He lowered his head but lifted his eyes up to me and smiled.

"I don't know, seems like the perfect idea to me."
