"Charlie, how are you here?" The one person that I could remember was standing before me.

"I told you I was coming to save you, and here I am. It doesn't matter how I'm here, just that I've come to take you away from this place. It's dangerous and I won't let you die." He had taken my hands and was looking into my eyes.

"Woah, wait, die? I don't think I'm going to die." I was beginning to become very worried. Why would I die here?

"Pan is dangerous. Bad things are going to happen and I'm getting you out of here. There's no time to explain, we have to get moving." He took my hand and started to pull me after him.

"But how are we getting out of here?" I had thought of many ways to get off of Neverland, swim away, make a raft, smoke signals?

"With a little help from my friend." He looked back at me and smiled as we walked with our fingers entwined.

****Holly's POV****

There has to be some explaination. It makes no sense. Pan said she remembered Charlie, just Charlie. That just can't be. At first I assumed she had been under the water too long and she had brain damage, but now I'm thinking differently.

"Magic must be involved." I whispered to myself.

"I'm the only one here with magic." I turned to see Pan staring at me, his face was blank.

"I know that, but this entire situation just doesn't make any sense." I started to pace, racking my brain for anything.

"Tell me everything you can remember when you found her." I knew it was hurting him to talk about this but there had to me some detail I had missed.

"Well, I had sent everyone to find her after you came to me and told me you thought she... died. I went to where you had seen her fall. Felix came and told me the boys found Becca's body. Then I heard a scream and I saw Emerald pulling a dagger from her shoulder and then fall off the rock. I jumped and swam to her, then I brought her to shore and my Emerald was gone." It was clearly hard for him to get the words out, but I needed to know everything.

"That's not enough Pan. What did you see? There has got to be something."

"Holly, I just told you everything." His voice had rasied slightly.

"Well I'm sorry, but I'm not giving up!" I yelled back and his eyes widened at me.

"Now, sit right here." I pulled him to a fallen down tree and pushed down on his shoulders. I kneeled in front of him and asked in calm voice. "Try to think of anything, what else was there when you first saw her?"

"It was just her, and the sunset behind her. There was this bird next to her and she fell..."

"Wait, a bird?" My eyes widened and he quirked his eyebrow up at me.

"Yes, it was a seagull."

"Pan. I think we need to find that seagull."

****Emerald's POV****

"See that cave just ahead? That's where we need to get up to." I was anxious, and honestly becoming confused as Charlie continued to speak.

"Charlie, what's going on, you're not telling me everything." I stopped speaking when we came upon the opening of the dark cave. Charlie turned to look at me and began speaking slowly.

"I come from a different world than you. My family, well... You see. It's hard to explain."

"Well try harder." I demanded.

"Just follow me." He held out his hand and I took a cautious step back.
He stared at me intensely and said, "Do you trust me?"

I bit my lip and said "Yes."

****Holly's POV****
"Holly, you're not making any sense!" Pan followed my path as I stormed around trees to get to the beach.

"Actually, it all makes perfect sense! Don't you see what's going on here?" I looked back at him quickly and he was becoming quite frustrated with me.
"Pan, Emerald didn't just forget everything, her memories were stolen." Pan stopped moving and I spun to face him.

"How?" He questioned me doubtfully.
"That seagull... I think." I sound dumb.

"I think you need your head checked." He said harshly, thinking that I had wasted his time and gotten his hopes up.
"Nonnononnnoooo. I think the seagull is an ijiraat." I said quickly.

"An iji-what?" He asked incredulously.

"An ijiraat. They are shape shifters in Inuit mythology. They were legend to cause memory loss and also have been known to take the form of a raven, but somehow this one is a seagull." My heart pounded with the possibility of getting Emerald back.

"You really think that it stole her memories?"

"I do." I said firmly, "But I don't know why or how."

"So how do we get her memories back?" I could sense his anger was returning as he spoke through gritted teeth.

"Ummm, I don't really know." I laughed nervously.

"What? You don't know?" He shouted at me.

"Look pal, you mentioned seeing a bird and I remembered the ijiraat from the discovery channel, it's not like I'm a freaking expert!" I hollered back with equal measure. I was shocked by myself, I would never yell at him, I didn't have a death wish.

"I don't know what the discovery channel is but let's go find that damned bird." His voice had darkened and I think his lack of shouting meant he didn't absolutely hate me.

****Emerald's POV*****
"What is that?" I asked while Charlie unrolled a ragged carpet.

"It's a magic carpet." He said like it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"A magic carpet? Oh that just makes all the sense in the world." I laughed playfully but he remained serious.

"This carpet is getting us off this island. When you're safe, I promise I'll explain everything." He was being so secretive, and I didn't like that.

"So what is this thing, like Aladdin or something?" I tried to lighten the situation with a joke but his face was blank.

"No. No. No. No. I'm already on Neverland with Peter Pan, don't you dare say you're Aladdin!" I said in a panicked, borderline insane tone.

"Calm down, I'm not Aladdin." He poked me in the side and laughed at me for freaking out. I exhaled in relief.

"I'm his son."

****AUTHOR'S NOTE****
