The captain hummed. She seemed to be thinking. Then she turned to Kamira and said "I think your brother is a good recruit. Seems to be a... sturdy man."
At this, Kamira's eyes became as big as the fish that they catch. Then a grin broke out on her face. "Thanks capt!" she cheered. Sadie turned to Kamira's brother, catching his eye, "Now, this does NOT mean that you won't have to prove your worth. I can and will remove you from this crew if you do not show me you can work. Because work you will." she said with a slight glare. The glare faded into a lopsided grin.
"Captain Sadie. Pleasure to meet you Ivan."
Sadie stuck a hand out to Ivan. Much to Sadie's pleasure, Ivan's look of surprise only lasted a few seconds before he collected himself and shook her hand.
"Ivan. Pleasure to meet you as well Captain. Nice to know that I'm trusting someone capable with my job and my life." Ivan responded with a smirk.
Sadie spun on her heel and turned to her first mate, "Show him his quarters. We'll be leaving soon."
PIRATES! Background information: so, in that one, it is a pirate world. Set back in time when pirates roamed the seas. However, this crew is different; their captain is a woman. Many people are surprised and underestimate this crew. Sadie (the captain) makes it so that they don't know she's the captain and just think she's the recruiter and see how much respect she shows her. She also recruits based on strength and skill. So if you can't do shit and you can't learn shit, you aren't hired.
