Francis sat and stared at his desk. He listened to the teacher drone on. And on. And on. She had no problem with the teacher. What she did have a problem with was the class. History. This segment was all about French history. He loved the history of his home! It was great! But the way the teacher taught it was boring, to say the least.

He looked to his side at his "table mate", Alex. Suddenly, an idea dawned on Francis. He scrambled around in his desk and found a pad of paper and a pencil. He hastily scribbled a few sentences on it and scooted the pad over to Lexi.

It read "This teacher is boring. I love history and you know a lot of it as well. What do you say we do the teachers job for him?" Lexi scanned over Francis' swirled writing and cocked an eyebrow.

"What do you propose?"

The Next Day

"Good morning class..." the teacher said. Everything about him screamed BORING! The class started, and not even 10 minutes in, a dull thump was heard. The teacher turned his head and was met with the sight of a student who's head had fallen on his desk. The student? Francis. He looked completely asleep. The teacher sighed and walked over to him. He snapped his fingers in front of Francis' face who immediately woke up in a slightly panicked state.

"What! I'm up!" he exclaimed. When he noticed the teacher in front of him, his shoulders slumped from their rigid posture. "Oh... I didn't miss anything," he sighed. This earned a lot of snickers from the rest of the class but an offended glance from the teacher.

"Alright mister. Would you like to teach the class?" the teacher said. He didn't really have a right to be angry, considering the way he droned on really could make anyone fall asleep.

"Oui monsieur, I actually would! And in all honesty sir, I think this class would appreciate my teaching much more than your blandness." And with that, Francis had pushed the teacher into his seat, grabbed Alex, and walked to the front of the classroom.

"Alright than peers! Today, I will be your history teacher. We will be learning about the history of my home country; France. I believe you'll find it easier to pay attention to this than the sir who calls himself the 'teacher'," Francis sent a pointed look to the teacher. "Now, let us begin..."

By the time history was over, even the "teacher" had learned something.
