FGoD AU.

"So..." Blue started, looking around at the endless white before turning back to Error. "What do you do when your bored?"

Error looked up briefly from the project he was working on before lounging back in his beanbag again.

"Crochet, watch Undernovela, talk with Nightmare's childre--*cough* I mean his 'gang', and..." he looked like he was contemplating whether or not to tell Blue the last thing or not. He finally decided he would.

"And watch other AUs."

Now this sparked Blue's interest. "Watch other AUs? What do you mean? Why?"

Error refused to meet Blue's eyelights and a small dusting of lemon yellow and violet rested on his skull.

"I...I like making up stories. Here, I'll show you."

Error pulled up a viewing portal to a random AU. He ended up getting a Mafia!Tale copy. Error's eyelights were glued to the glitchy opening, watching the resident Sans's movement.

The Sans was staring at a stack of papers To most, the skeleton would look completely apathetic, not caring in the slightest who the people on the papers were. But Error saw the tiniest flint of anger in his sockets.

"Them. Their probably viewing the papers of their next victim. Angry at what that person has done. This Sans looks like they've been in the business for a while. Almost looks tired. They've seen a lot...But look," Error pointed to a vaguely glittering object on the Sans's hand. "See, they've got a ring on their finger. Probably married and worried about their spouse. Maybe even has kids."

"How do you know all that?" Blue asked in a cross between amazement and suspicion.

"I don't. But that's the beauty of it. You can observe and fantasize without anyone telling you you're wrong. It's just...fun. A good crea--imaginative exercise, too."

-----------3 months later------------

"Blue, what are you doing?"

Blue jumped, not having heard anyone come in. He turned around, coming face to face with Dream.

"OH! HI DREAM!" he said, tacking on his overly loud exterior again.

"I WAS...THINKING!"

"About?" Dream asked suspiciously. He could feel the fake cheer and faint melancholy coming off Blue.

"I WAS BORED AND DECIDED TO ENTERTAIN MYSELF WITH A TRICK A FRIEND TAUGHT ME A WHILE AGO!"

"Which is?"

"WATCHING PEOPLE AND IMAGINING WHAT THEIR LIVES ARE LIKE!"

"Isn't that stereotyping and/or an invasion of privacy?"

"NO, NOT REALLY. I'M JUST OBSERVING AND CREATING A POSSIBLE BACKSTORY! IT'S VERY FUN! YOU NOTICE LITTLE DETAILS YOU DIDN'T NOTICE BEFORE! IT STRETCHES YOUR IMAGINATION, TOO!"

"Then try it on me."

Blue raised a brow. Dream was rarely ever this suspicious or blunt. He wasn't lying when he said that the 'observation game' was fun. But if Dream wanted Blue to examine him, then so be it.

He dropped the volume of his voice to a normal level.

"Well, you seem like you like to see people happy. You're a bright character, but of course, there's always eclipses every once in a while. You have a brother and you keep parts of him close but at the same time refusing to reach out. You fit 95% of the typical gay stereotypes and yet I know that you yourself are omnisexual. You look like the type to be terrible at keeping secrets and yet have a few really big ones. Like a secret boyfriend or something. Anyways, you look like you are paranoid. Maybe about an upcoming big decision. That's about all I have to say about you for now. Mostly just speculation using clues of what you look like and small clues in behavior. Using it on people you don't know is a lot more fun, though."

Blue turned back towards the window, a small smile on his face. Dream just stood and stared at him for a minute before retreating, not hearing what Blue muttered.

"Thank you Error, you taught me well. I miss you, friend."

It starts somewhere in the middle of when Error 'kidnaps' Blue. They're sort of friends. This is when they sort of start bonding. The second part is when Blue has come out of the Anti-Void and is back with the Stars.
