Not really any descriptive blood, but dead body in bad condition.
Honestly, I don't think I'll do anything more with this, this was just an idea that I had that I won't do anything else with.
It was a normal day in the Silver Swan apartment complex. A quiet day. Oh, how Harper cherished quiet days. She didn't get many of those anymore, being a nurse on many people's speed-dial. Harper let out a small huff, and trudged downstairs.
Everything was peaceful. Maybe a little... too peaceful. Don't get her wrong, she was relishing every second of this, but normally her neighbor had woken up by now. Her neighbor, Clarence, didn't ever seem to know what the word 'calm' meant. He was always awake it seemed with music that went through the mostly sound-proof walls.
But Harper was too tired to care. Whatever's up with that dipshit isn't my problem. She reasoned. And so, Harper started down the stairs of her apartment getting ready and doing all her chores.
It was honestly nice to be able to take a long shower and have time to pick a real outfit. Now for her lest favorite thing: taking out the trash. Harper wasn't a germaphobe, more like... a neat freak. So, she hauled the bag downstairs and outside, going to place it directly in the garbage bins.
But, inside the bins, she saw... a man. He looked beat up and bruised, and his hair was fairly mangled. His clothes were torn in several places, though they looked to be expensive at one point. The man appeared to be sleeping, though his face was contorted in a brutal snarl. He looks homeless. Maybe he's having a bad dream? Harper questioned. She started to shake the man, trying to get him to wake up.
"Sir? Sir! Please wake u-!"
Oh my god. Harper's heart stopped beating. She had accidentally flipped the man over. There was a silence. And then a scream...
"HELP! SOMEONE CALL 911! THIS MAN'S BEEN SHOT!"
Do people name apartment complexes? Or is that weird... I don't know much about these things.
