Two weeks later.

Lestat's pov

"Davina, you do realize that Erikyos isn't here yet, don't you?"  I asked as my servant was pouring wine for me.

"I'll bring him your hinest, I just needed a little time."

I pushed her hardly.
"I need to start a war, here. If you haven't noticed, I'm still waiting and I'm getting impatient...and bored." I walked closer. "And I don't do bored and impatient."

"Sorry." She started shaking in fear. I smiled. Then turned away and gestured for her to leave.

Erikyos's pov

Claire laughed so hard when I pushed her on the swing. She wore gloves and a winter cap. She looked happy.

"Woooooohh." She closed her eyes.

I realized something. When humans are happy or comfortable or having fun they close their eyes.

When they pray, when they laugh, when they dream, when they kiss, because maybe finally the feeling is better than the sight. They see beauty with their heart that they don't need their eyes anymore.

Moments like these are precious.

"This is amazing. This winter is really cold too." She told me while walking over some dead fallen leaves. "What? You're so dreamy today."

"Guess I'm just happy. Finally, no school today."

"I thought you loved school."

"Loved school? Who ever loves school?"

"hahahh...Loosers."

"You thought I'm a loser?"

She laughed again and it sounded amazing that it made me smile.

"Let's go drink hot coffee then i'll have to go home and snuggle up in my blanket watch The Originals on Netflix then maybe fall asleep."

"That's a planned day. Unlike mine of course. And what's with this show that's eating up your head?"

"It's amazing. It's talking about a hybrid villain who wanted to rule and not feel lonely then he had a baby girl named Hope. Family comes first and then there's Elijah..."

"Stoooop! Please, don't start." She chuckled.

"Y'know first, I used to hang out with my girl friends all the time. You made that change and they kind of hate you right now."

"Bah...Who cares? I'm a priority."

"Hanging out with you the past weeks were fun. I got to admit."

"Thank you."

"Mate, but you're still weird."

"Thank you." I replied with the same tone.

We walked into a cafe and ordered coffee and a latè for me.

"I'm hungry. Shall we order something?"

"Reckon mate. Order me a snag."

She jumped from the chair. "Mate, I'm gonna go to the dunny."

I nodded and watched her make her way through.
