Chapter 8: Dilemma

Erikyos's pov.

Hey,Jenna look...I was going now but...I need you" I said trying to comfort her somehow.

"What??" Her face looked confused.

"Look, I'm sorry for everything. I understand what you feel about me now."

"Are you serious?" she replied with astonishment.

"There's no time for this! Lets go." I told her breaking the sphere that was about to cover our talk...there was no time for this anyway.

I took her and ran out of the room. I went to the same stairs. I didn't know any other way.

"Can you jump?" I asked her.

" You mean without being died?...No."

"Then catch me."

I wanted her to hold on me. Then I caught her hard and she did the same... I jumped downwards.

I reached the ground and put her beside me.

"Come!" I whispered and slowly sneaked to the place where Eve was hidding.

"Hey, Eve...Come." I was with both the girls now. And I only had to escape. The door opens by fingure prints. The fingure prints of the people who works here.........like Jenna for example.

Jenna's pov

I cried my eyes out. I wasn't even able to think. The depression consumed me. And whenever I looked beside me, I saw her...Rose, my bestfriend. The one who left her collage to be with me. The one who gave up everything to stay beside me...just died. This horrible death was nothing she deserved.

When suddenly he showed his face again. I could think of nothing. All I could do is 'Doing whatever he tells me'.

His words surprised me...I was happy to hear it. I walked with him everywhere he takes me to. Then we jumped a jump that would have probably killed me.

When we went downwards. He was hidding.And so was I now.

Am I supposed to be on his side or on my people's side?

"Look, I have to leave, Jenna. Will you help me?" He kindly asked me.

"Leave?? You'll escape after all what you have done to us?!"

"I thought you were on my side." He said with disapointment but I wasn't really sure on which side I am!

" Erikyos." It was the first time I call him by his name.

"What?" he waited for an answer. I did too. I was caught up in a dilemma. Choosing was hard. I had to chose between rescuing his life and setting him free...or... doing what I have to for my father and for the whole mankind. I thought for a while then finally knew what I have to do.

"I'm sorry I can't let you do this. If you escaped you'll cause a great damage to the whole mankind! I also can't betray my father."

He narrowed his eyes. I heard my father calling and shouting. He suddenly looked at me and caught my hand.

Erikyos's pov

I had to chose between my escape and being good to Jenna. It was a dilemma. I couldn't choose. But as soon as I heard them approching I hurled towards her.

"Jenna, I trusted you...I don't know why...But I did trust you."

"I didn't say anything...It's just.."

"Let me complete!!" I shouted to shut her up.

"You gave up on me Jenna."

I went to catch her hand. Slowly took it to my mouth...and with my fangs.........I cut her thumb.

ok, I know you want to kill me now.

I wanna kill "Me" too...But it had to be done. It wasn't just a delimma for Erikyos and Jenna...but also for me. :(

I wasn't sure weather to sail their ship or to drown it...

well, admit that you didn't see that coming!!
