GYLE:
The misty world of Podplanata II has seen better days. The three planets of the Podplanata system fused together several millennia ago under mysterious circumstances. Our conjoined worlds were living in harmony with each other, sharing resources and defending each other from pirate attacks. A couple days ago, however, it all changed. Podplanata I and III bombarded Podplanata II and wiped out the majority of its cities.

Most of the survivors retreated deep into the charred forests, hiding inside Aravare, a three storey citadel heavily fortified against attacks. But, the remainder of Podplanata II's defense force is still scrambling to defend this planet from invasion. They won't last long against their crushing armies, and it will likely be a few days before the enemy finds us here and eliminates the rest of us.

I don't know how to stop these armies. I'm more of a school principal than a king, and once the rest of our military is defeated, the citadel guards are our last defence against the extinction of Podplanatan society.

That's why I need to come up with a solution that could save our butts. But, I'm not a king. I can't lead my people, even though I'm the only survivor qualified to do just that. Somehow, I'd rather we abandon this planet and find a new world to settle on. Unfortunately, we don't have a way off this rock, as Podplanata II didn't really have any space vessels of any kind. That was more up the alley of the other Podplanata worlds.

I just hope that help comes soon enough. The compound worlds of Podplanata are unique to this galaxy. They are like peas in a pod. If the survivors of Podplanata II are eradicated, then two other worlds will likely war with each other for control of our planet, until only one of the governments reigns supreme over the three conjoined worlds.

I'm bad at analogies. I'm not a good ruler, but then, again, I'm better than the other twats who decided to just blow up my world's cities for no obvious reason.

Our governments have relied on each since the dawn of Podplanatan civilization. However, I fear our once inspirational alliance has been forever shattered by greed or other disgusting motivators.

It's only a matter of time before the Aravare Citadel falls. War encroaches on us, and we can do nothing to stop it!
