"What did that Sister mean by you blessing me?"
You were so incredibly curious for the answer, but you hated knowing that a portion of your mind was telling you that you were scum for asking Venti about his own personal matters. That it was none of your business, and what if it led to a fight? Would you be able to handle something like that?
You ended the mental debate as soon as you saw Venti take a breath.
"It means just that; you have my protection. Mind you, it's not much seeing as I'm the weakest Archon, but it was enough to get you to the Winery in one piece." He replied. You scanned his face, seeing complete honesty. There was still so much that you wanted to know, but you wanted to be patient. However, you asked the question that immediately came to mind.
"Why? I haven't done anything noteworthy to deserve a blessing or anything like that. I'm not special in the slightest." You revealed the tip of the iceberg when it came to your own feelings about yourself at the moment involuntarily, and you hated it.
His face twisted into a small frown at the latter part of the statement you made. "To the contrary, I can sense something extremely special. I could immediately feel when you landed in Teyvat because of it. I had even thought that it was too weird, and I had summoned someone that I haven't for a while."
Your face leered at the statement. "And is it something like tHe PoWeR oF fRiENdsHiP?" You asked sarcastically. You knew you were in an anime-ish world, but there was only so many cliches that you could handle. You certainly didn't know how Tsumugi could.
He chuckled and shook his head. "No, the genuine wish for freedom that your soul has." He said shortly. Your eyebrows furrowed. "Huh? I'm so confused." You said, not understanding in the slightest. He thrummed his fingers on the table, thinking of a way to explain.
"You do know that everyone has wishes, right?" He asked gingerly, not completely sure about your world. "I mean, yeah. Wishing on a shooting star was the most common thing to do. Why?"
"Yep! And everyone wishes for something different, whether it be pride, money, or success. Wishes throughout Mondstadt are whispered into the wind, which is my speciality, as you know. So I can guess what kind of person is making the wish." He further explained.
You were paying close attention, especially since this was a God you were talking to. How Aether missed it, you had no idea.
"Right, but then how does that translate into their soul?" You asked, confused about that.
"I can't see it or anything if that's what you're implying. Or anything visible. But it's the main reason why I choose to be human. I can tell what kind of soul a person has based on their wishes and their personality." He finished explaining.
You took the words into extreme consideration, but then that must mean... "Wait, so you have overheard my wishes?!" You exclaimed.
He sweatdropped. This part was the tricky one. "Ehehe, well you see. I felt it as soon as you crashed into Teyvat. So naturally, seeing as you're someone different, I sent the winds to go see what kind of person you were." He carefully said.
Honestly, you couldn't be mad. Surprised, yes, but upset? Not really. You did want to be heard, after all.
"Huh. And who was the person that you summoned to check me out?" You asked nonchalantly.
He sighed, an actual face of melancholy taking over. You felt like you were staring at Kokichi post first trial, and then you gave him a hug and multiple kisses in the privacy of your rooms. And in the infamous closet.
You blinked rapidly, trying to get yourself grounded. 'Venti isn't Kokichi. Venti isn't Kokichi.' You forced your brain to drill to itself.
"He's...he's a person with too many troubles. Though something weird did happen, it's not my place to tell you what." Was all that he said.
