"[N/N]...
[Nameeee]."
You were sitting down in the abyss, head lolling downwards. If you could even call it an abyss anymore. It was more of a black diamond, but not one that was cut.
No, it was uncut. Jagged edges lined the walls, and a few pieces were falling out. From what you could tell, there was a dark red under the surface.
However, the major difference between the abyss and a diamond wasn't even that. It was something much more simpler.
Diamonds don't break.
A part of you refused to bring your head up and look. You didn't want to know more, not if it was going to be about that possibility of breaking.
Who knew where the pindrop that was going to break everything was going to be? It could be anywhere, especially now that you remember more.
"My silly [N/N]-chan, what's causing you to be so quiet?"
A familiar scarf dropped into your vision, a giddy and cute face following soon after. Your breath catched as you felt two fingers under your chin, slowly tilting your head up.
The smile he had faded as he stared mutely at your disheveled and disheartening state. The silence dragged on as you noticed a small frown taking over his features.
How was he...?
No, it didn't matter. What mattered was where the other one was. After all, they both completed you. You never felt like yourself without the two of them. No matter what the demons did, they were always going to be the two parts of your soul that you were missing. But then...why would he betray you like that?
Right before that thought could blossom, he appeared- right next to the familiar scarf. The unruly green hair and extreme concern in his eyes quickly caused tears to well up.
...how were they even here?
"G-guys?" Your small voice cracked and stuttered as you struggled to keep your tears in, not wanting them to see you like this.
This wasn't what happened then. It wasn't. But at the same time...you felt so, so dirty. You should've done more to get him to stop. You shouldn't have froze. You should've used what Maki taught you.
he should've helped you.
"I'm so sorry, [Name]. I wish I didn't have to hurt anyone." Your downcasted eyes immediately snapped towards the completely sincere purple hues. So why couldn't he have helped?
"Kokichi..." Your throat wanted to close in on itself, but you finally managed to utter the thought that was repeating itself over and over in your brain.
"why didn't you save me like always?"
You gasped awake, shaking away the dream quickly. However, to your horror, most of the dream faded- except for the beginning.
You couldn't focus on that for too long though...the terror had resurfaced as you quickly whipped around and slapped your hand behind you.
The sting and specks of blood on your hand made you flinch as you realized that you had slapped a solid and innocent wall.
You looked ahead of you, only now noting the various people in the room. However, right before you could process that they were bombarding you with questions, your mind jumped.
