Nang magkaroon kami ng pagkakataong makawala sa pamilya ko ay nagpasya na kaming umalis ni Manilka. I assured them that I will cooperate with the police and give a statement regarding what happened 4 years ago. I'm so tired of dealing with this issue and being able to put an end to it is relieving. Sana, bago ako umalis ng bansa ay wala na akong maiiwang problema rito.

"Do you have something you wanna tell me other than what happened tonight?"

Nasapo ko ang aking noo. Saktong nasa red light ang stop light kaya hindi ko na ito maipapagpaliban pa.

"Tumawag sa akin si Vic kanina," panimula ko. Tumango siya at umayos ng pagkakakupo para ipakitang interesado siya sa sasabihin ko. "A modeling agency in New York wants me to sign a contract for them for God knows how many years. It could me a year, or two, or five."

"Okay... So you're saying we have to move to the States?"

"Really? You want to move to the States with me?" gulat kong tanong.

Napahalakhak siya. Doon ko napagtanto na nagbibiro lamang siya.

"I would love to if only I don't have a job here. They won't let go of me that easily since I just started months ago."

Right. What choice do I have now? We're talking about my career and love life which are both important to me. Sa ayaw at gusto ko, kailangan kong isakripisyo ang isa.

"Choose your career for the meantime. You don't know when you'll find another offer like that again," kinuha niya ang aking kamay at pinagsalikop iyon. "I will always be here, supporting you all the way. I'll try to watch your shows even if you're on the other side the world."

"What if you find another girl while I'm away?"

"Are you serious, Guinevere Xitheria?" tumango ako. Tumawa siya ng malakas at napailing. "Kung gagawin ko man 'yan, dapat noon pa. I should've found a girl as a replacement when you dumped me, but I didn't, because I was too lethargic to flirt with every women that came in to my life 3 years ago. So I told to myself, Guia or nothing. Look where I am now."

I bit my lower lip. They're making my insides jump. God, I love them so much.

"So please... don't ever try to doubt my love for you again because I will only prove to you how much I love you instead."
