"don't nobody give a damn." spanky said while fixing his baby a bottle.
she was almost a month now. spanky insisted on naming her kacey because he said he was serious about giving her a boy name. joseline made him let her spell it as kaci.
"you still mad about that stupid song." i laughed.
"i just don't understand why my shit only got 22 views. i'm the hottest ex inmate in the city right now. my boys in jail would've turned me the fuck up." he shook his head, going over to kaci and propping her bottle up in her car seat.
"how long are you gonna have kaci?" i asked.
"ion know. ima make it to yo' party though i know that much. if she have to watch herself she will." he sat down on the couch and turned on the tv.
"sometimes i wonder if you were dropped on your head as a baby. because your mind ain't right at all." i shook my head.
"lemme tell you somethin' nova. sometimes you have to make sacrifices to be able to move forward in life. so if that means leaving kaci here to go to yo' party then so be it. i'm moving forward by doing so. she grown anyways what she need me here for?" he tried to reason with me.
"spanky you sound all kinds of dumb." i rolled my eyes. "you're not leaving my niece here alone. i don't know why joseline trusts you with her."

"i have a party to get ready for." i simply stated.
"that party don't start until two hours from now." he said.

"you already dressed." he looked over my attire.
"i'm still in pajamas. the only thing done is my hair and makeup." i scrunched up my face.
"aight nova." he rolled his eyes and stood up, pulling me in a hug. "i'll see you at the party."
"you show up to that party and i'm calling cps on you."

"damn." i mumbled as i walked into the building where my party was being held. kaiser, jayden, and spanky helped plan the party so there was a bunch of people here i didn't know but they did, and that was okay for me. reggie wanted to help too but the boys were giving him a hard time, so i insisted that he didn't. but he was still invited.
"aww shit we got the birthday girl in the building!" the dj announced, causing everyone to start cheering.
a smile spread across my face as i scanned the room for any familiar faces. my eyes widened once they landed on alyssa and destiny holding a conversation with some girl.
i quickly made my way over there and pulled them into tight hugs. "well shit, surprise!" destiny yelled over the loud music.
"y'all didn't tell me y'all were flying out hereeee!" i cheesed as i pulled away.
"that's what a surprise is dummy." alyssa playfully rolled her eyes. "damn it's been so long, i missed you so much."
"i saw you in january." i said.
"for a day. that was less than enough." destiny butted in, causing alyssa to nod in agreement.
"oh lord here come yo' ghetto ass brother." alyssa looked past me and i turned around seeing spanky headed towards us. "hide me."
"girl." i laughed as he walked up. "spanky why are you here? i swear to god i'm about to call cps."
"girl she at home watching tv. she good." he said while eyeing alyssa up and down.

"i'm just playin' joseline got her." he rolled his eyes and looked back at alyssa. "wassup witchu? my name spanky but you can call me pendejo if you feelin' naughty baby." he licked his lips.
"oh hell no." i shook my head and walked away.
"nova!" i heard someone call. i looked to my right and saw kaiser posted up against a wall. i smiled and made my way over to him. "you fuckin' wit' it?"
"definitely." i pecked his lips.
"i got some shit planned tonight too." he smirked.
"cant wait." i cheesed.
"look," he handed me his phone and a charger, "i gotta go outside and help yo' brother with sum. plug my phone up for me, i'm waiting on a call."
"okay." i looked around for a plug. once i found one that was ducked off, i plugged his phone up and waited for it to power on.
"hey sis." i looked up and saw india. i pulled her in a hug before pulling away. "happy birthday."
"thank you." i smiled.
"girl you supposed to be out there enjoying yourself. why you over here in a corner?" she laughed.
"i'm waiting on kaiser's phone to get some juice. he's waiting on a call." i told her and she nodded.
"make sure you have some type of fun tonight. i'll be back, i have to call and check on amoura." she said before walking away.
i looked down at the phone in my hand as it powered on and his notifications flooded in, a few messages catching my eyes.
