"Good morning!" Harry yelled from his car, startling me as I approached it, my heart racing.
"You fucking dickhead! Don't do that to me!" I shouted back, sticking my middle finger up and jogging round to the other side of his car, clambering in.
"You looked like you needed waking up, so I woke you up," he shrugged, turning the engine on and starting up the car.
"I was awake, thank you very much," I said haughtily, leaning back in my seat and clipping in the seatbelt.
"Good. It's only a twenty minute journey to the recording studio, so make sure you don't doze off," he warned, giving me a look I recognised.
"Oh my God, give it a rest will you? I sleep in one time and suddenly you won't let me forget it!" I grin, taking control of his music system. "You concentrate on driving and I'll put on some really loud music to keep me awake," I tell him sarcastically, watching him transform into someone who was now rolling their eyes.
"Long as you stay awake," he retorts, starting to drive out of the carpark. I end up just putting some chill music on, just to act like background music. London isn't too busy today, and it's nice to just look out of the car window and enjoy the view.
"Oh yeah, I need to tell you some stuff before we get there. Technically, Josh should've told you, but he forgot and you need to know it before we arrive," he says, stretching out his arm and coming to a stop at a traffic light.
"Oh, alright. Like what?" I ask, yawning subtly, facing him.
"Security will be there to escort us both into the building, and until we leave the building, you'll have at least one of them with you," he says, my mind blowing at how serious recording a simple video was. But then again, I was there when we'd literally got stormed in Warwick, so it made sense.
"Alright, that's not too bad. Anything else?"
"Yeah. You'll share a changing room with all the other audience members. Just for like, refreshments and toilets and stuff. Management keep us and other people in separate areas," he says calmly.
"That's fine. I'm not fussed about any of this, Harry. Just happy to go along for the experience," I smile, looking back out of the window again.
The awkwardness that had inevitably existed between us for the best part of a week had finally disappeared. We were best friends again like we were before the kiss, and everything that had followed, and for the most part, I was okay with it all.
Except, I really wasn't because I knew deep down I still liked him, even if I told myself and him I didn't. Right now, it wasn't an issue, and maybe it would be a problem down the line like Freya had warned, but it wasn't anything to worry about as of right now. Harry and I were in a good place, and I couldn't ask for anything more than that.
Out loud, at least.
"Lily? You hear what I said or are you falling asleep again?" He asked, and I could hear the smirk in his voice.
"I am not asleep, Harry Lewis. Simply thinking and maybe zoning out a little bit."
"Wow, I got full named. Maybe I should just shut up at this point," he replies, still grinning like a total idiot.
"I will boo you from the audience tonight," I threaten as a joke, making the both of us laugh.
He gasped, pretending like he was offended. "You won't boo me. I have a little something planned," he says secretively, refusing to tell me anything else he has planned.
I don't even know what the video is about, or why they need an audience, but it just adds to the element of surprise, and I enjoy it.
The rest of the journey goes by quickly, and soon we're driving in a carpark surrounded by tall walls. Talk about private.
