Sorry it's a bit shorter than usual, just wanted to set some stuff up. Enjoy.
"Will you be my girlfriend?"
Those five words hadn't left my mind since the night in the car park.
Of course I had said yes. He had barely even finished his sentence before the acceptance left my own mouth, and things had been plain sailing since then.
Tuesday came round quickly. Luckily this week, we were back in the comfort of the studio. Safe, and routine. Nothing out of the ordinary.
"Good morning!" I spoke jovially, holding several cups of hot steaming coffee and placing them on the table. Everyone who was within earshot raced towards the table, grabbing out for the coffee. It was an early start this morning, and clearly they appreciated the coffee. "Guess I'll go grab some more of that, then," I grin, placing my bags on the chair and preparing to go back into the kitchen area to prepare more hot drinks.
"I'll come help," Harry's voice called out from just behind me, where he was also laying out his bags for the day, that I had ended up packing with snacks for us both.
I wait for him at the door, stretching out my hand for him to take. We hadn't told anyone else that we were dating yet. The only people that knew were Freya and Josh. And that was only because I'd text Freya as soon as I'd gotten home the night after the meal to let her know that I knew why she was acting so weird.
It wasn't exactly a secret we were deliberately keeping from the rest of them. We had just decided it would be fun to let them figure it out themselves. There was no harm in that.
"Hey Lily," JJ greeted, walking through the doors we were about to go out of.
Flashing him a smile, I greeted him back. "Morning, Jide. Want a coffee? We're going to make some more," I offered. He nodded his head, thanking me for asking before turning his back and indulging in another conversation with Kon.
"Come on then," I said quietly to Harry, pulling his hand behind me, walking up the stairs through to the kitchen that still smelled strongly of the coffee I'd poured earlier.
"Yeah, hang on a minute," Harry urged, and before I knew it he was softly pressing his lips against mine. The kiss was short and sweet - and I missed the feeling of him on my mouth as soon as he pulled away.
"What was that for?" I asked, not breaking eye contact from him.
"Just because I could," he says, the friendly looking smile on his face never faltering. I felt like I was back at school once more, looking at my fifteen year old best friend.
"And you will be able to forever more," I say, kissing him once more before focusing myself on making the coffee.
He doesn't say anything after that, instead getting out some cups for me to pour the coffee into, which I appreciate. Once it's all poured out and the whole kettle is empty, I pick up a few cups, and he manages the rest, both of us walking back into the studio where we are welcomed with warm smiles from everyone.
Harry needs to speak with Kon and James so I let him go off and do his thing, heading over to the secondary cameras and fixing up the focus and lighting. Adjusting the chair behind it, I find the right height for me before settling into it. Considering I would literally just be here for the rest of the shoot, I thought it was appropriate to buy myself a chair. And it didn't even stop there.
Harry had gone to the trouble to have my name written on the back of it, so now it was even personalised. I thought it was hilarious, and was genuinely surprised that no one else had come up with the idea before.
