Chapter 17: Anna

While you were leaning on the door, a knock was heard making you jump from the sudden sound.

"(Y/n), can you open the door?" Ran asked from the other side of the door.

You turned to face the door as you gulped. You were nervous..?

'Why am I nervous?!'

Your hands were sweating and it was turning cold. Your heart was beating loudly in your chest. You gritted your teeth as you looked at the door.

"(Y/n)?" Ran called.

You were hesitant at first but you gathered all your courage, trying to calm yourself then you opened the door.

"Ran" You casually called but your hands were sweating a lot. You composed yourself as you looked at him right in the eyes.

"About earlier, I-"

"No, it's okay. It was all Sanzu's fault. but anyways- Let's just forget that, that incident happened." You said flashing him a smile.

"Right. You're right." He replied letting out an awkward chuckle. Silence fell upon the two of you as you stare into each others eyes. 

"Lunch is ready. Do you-"

"Uh sure!" 

You had to admit. It was an awkward conversation. 

Until you were having lunch the both of you were only silent but the both of you were glaring at Sanzu at the same time.

"Aren't I a great cupid?" He said flashing the both of you a smile. You cleared your throat then you wiped the corners of your lips with napkin.

"Right, You're a great stupid." You said with sarcasm. 

"I said cupid." Sanzu clarified, thinking you didn't heard him.

"Oh- I thought you said stupid." You casually replied, picking the glass up then you took a sip from it.

"HAHA! That's a good one." He laughed then he turned to Ran who continued to eat his steak. 

"Hey Ran! Wanna know why I'm here?" He asked. Ran didn't bother to look at him as he continued to eat.

"The cops invaded my house last night so I had to escape and come here. Good thing Rindo took me in." He said turning to Rindo who was silently eating but then later on spoke up.

"If you didn't pointed your katana on my throat then maybe I'd let you sleep outside." Rindo said not removing his eyes off his food.

After a few minutes of silence, footsteps were now heard inside the house, walking towards the kitchen. All of them appeared. The other members of Bonten was now there with a bag in their hands.

You turned to look at their sweating figure.

"What's going on?" Ran asked, now focusing his eyes on them.

"The police found our hideout." Mikey replied.

"How?!" Ran asked as he stood up.

"We don't know." Koko replied then he walked towards you placing your small bag on the table.

"My bag!" You smiled as you pulled your bag. When you opened your bag, your phone, notebook and especially your pen was there. You pulled your pen out of your bag as you lowly smiled, gazing at it.

They took a seat. Koko sat across you as he kept his eyes on you.

"Do you really miss that cheap thing?" He asked, You lifted your eyes from your pen as you looked at Koko.

"Oh- this pen?" You asked. A smile formed on your lips as you looked at the pen. It was just a simple designed pen.

"This baby cost millions, expensive that your suit." You replied as you smiled. "It's a handmade pen that my father gave me when I turned 16." You added.

"It's still working until now and- this thing was with me until Ran broke up with me. Isn't this pen great? It works longer than your relationship." You sarcastically said in a cheerful manner.

Ran who was silently sitting gulped at the sudden mention. You stood up then you took your bag and your pen.

"Where are you going?" Ran asked. You turned to him as you replied. 

"To my room."

You proceeded to walk out of the kitchen as you fiddled with your pen twirling it around, using your fingers.

But as soon as you were in the living room, You stopped fiddling with your pen when you saw a woman on the distance she had a bag slinging on her elbow, her black wavy hair flowing down to her waist and her lips was red as cherries. She looked at you from head to toe.

You stopped in your tracks as you looked at her.

"How'd you get here?" Ran asked.

"You said each of your house and our base was invaded and you couldn't bring anything except for her bag so how?" Ran added.

"Well, we had a little help from a certain person." Koko replied, piercing the steak using his fork whilst replying.

"Who?" Rindo asked.

"Your bitch Ran. Your bitch." Koko snickered as he eyed Ran.

Ran immediately stood up then he went out of the kitchen to see You and the woman having an intense staring contest.

"What are you doing here?" Ran asked the woman who immediately broke contact as she looked at Ran with a smile forming on her lips.

"Baby, I missed you. I came here for you of course." She walked towards Ran then she planted a kiss on his cheek.

"Anyway.." She smiled as she turned to you meeting your gaze.

"Who's this woman?" She asked, eyeing you head to toe AGAIN.

"Anna meet (Y/n)." He said introducing her to you.

Anna smiled at you then she looked at Ran.

"What's her name again?" She asked Ran who looked at you.

"(Y/n)" He repeated.

The woman smiled as she turned to you.

While you were having a staring contest for a minute, the other members of Bonten went out of the kitchen as they watched you.

"(Y/n)?" The woman hummed then a smirk formed on her lips.

"How ugly." She snickered. Ran looked down at her as he glared at her. He was about to speak up when-

"Thank you." You smiled then you looked at her. "Anna right?" You asked then she proudly nodded.

"How bitchy." You spoke making the woman's eyes wide then she glared at you. You smile at her even more then you turned to look at Ran with your smile not faltering.

"If you excuse me." You bowed then you proceeded to walk up the stairs as you spun the pen that was in your hand.
