Chapter 9

Sandro POV

I woke up because of mom's voice. I can hear her footsteps already but i didn't mind it.

"Sandro!" She shouted as she throws a pillow. I open my eyes and groan, "it's already 8am, get up already, I'll go ahead and get Athena, linisin mo nga tong kwarto mo" She complained as she walk away.

I'm still sleepy but i have to get up. I went downstairs to eat breakfast and after, i clean my room. Today's the day Athena will live here until she give birth. I don't know what to feel. After cleaning, i take a bath and help to cook food for our lunch.

At 11am, Manong Lando,our driver enter the house holding two travelling bags. Then followed by mom. "Lando, paki dala nalang yan sa Guest room please, sa tabi ng kwarto ni Sandro" She commanded, then Athena enter the house, we have an eye to eye contact but i immediately look away, and so does she.

"Nako iha, do you want to take a rest? Sandro please samahan mo nga sya sa guest room" Mom said.

"What? Why me?" I complain. Mom glared at me.

"Ma'am ako nalang po, saan po ba?" She said in her low voice. Mom shook her head.

"No iha, Sandro will help you" She said again. Mom's really giving me some headache sometimes. "What are you still waiting for, Go na Sandro lead her up" She said. I groan in irritation.

I started walking near the stairs. "Come on I'll show you" I said to her. She immediately step up as i follow her.

"Here. From now on this will be your room for the meantime" I pointed as we stood on the door. She look around and meet my eyes.

"Thank you" She simply said. I felt my phone vibrate so i took it and see that Gia's calling. "I'll leave you here i have to take this call, excuse me.  Hello babe?.. "

Athena POV

"Hello babe?... " I heard Sandro said as he leaves me alone in the room.

Ouch. Tagal ko ng gusto si Sandro, bakit sa ganitong paraan pa? I want to cry my heart out. Hindi ito ang gusto kong paraan and he's in a relationship, sabagay wala naman talagang pag asa. I can't obviously feel and see his actions, ayaw nya ang mga nangyayari if he has a choice he doesn't want this.

I'm putting some of my clothes on the cabinet when someone knocks on my door. I think she's manang belen?

"Mangan tayon balasang (kakain na tayo dalaga)" She invite in her soft voice, she reminds me of my lola in the province.

"Ah ganun po ba, sige po bababa na po ako, salamat po" I politely said. She smile at me as she walks away.

I take a deep breath. "Woohh Athena, kaya mo to"

It's a relief na wala si sir Bongbong, nakakapressure. I went downstairs and walk straight to the dining. There, i saw Ma'am Liza and Sandro waiting for me.

"Aj, finally take a seat," She invite, i took a seat, opposite to Sandro, he still can't look at me in the eyes. Me and Ma'am liza talk a lot of things about work, family, and everyday routine. Hindi ko alam na ganito pala sya pag komportable sa kausap nya, she has a lot of topics and i enjoy listening to her, medyo malalim lang yung iba, lawyer ba naman.

After eating, Ma'am Liza called Manang Belen, "manang, can you serve us the fruits  sandro bought yesterday" She said.

Manang belen came back holding slices of fruits. "Iha, kainin mo yan,masustansya" Ma'am liza said, andami naman neto di naman kasya sa tyan ko. I took only a few slices.

"Nako ma'am okay na po siguro to, kayo po kuha po kayo" I offered. She turn her head to Sandro. "Son, do you want some fruits?"

He shook his head. "Nah. I'm full but thank you mom, Anyway,i have to read something, excuse me" He said as he stood up.

I can't help it. "Sandro," I said as he walk pass me, he stop for awhile as he turned around. Tinaasan ako ng kilay habang naghihintay. "Uh.. Thank you nga pala dito sa fruits" I said as i smile. He just nod and continue to walk away.

I look at Ma'am liza at halata sa mata nya ang lungkot. "I'm sorry for his actions and behaviours iha, hayaan mo lilipas din yan" She said as she held my hand.

Around 2pm, i went outside to take a walk at the Garden, busy si Ma'am Liza sa online discussions nya, Si sandro naman may mga online meetings  sa kwarto nya kaya no choice ako, wala akong kausap. I found a book shelf outside with some books, i took one and read it habang nagpapahangin.

I was busy reading when suddenly Kuya sent me a text message.

Kamusta dyan ading? Text ka lang pag may kailangan kay kuya.

I smile at his text.

To Kuya Ton
From AJ

Maayos naman ako dito kuya, wag ka mag alala. Ingat ka dyan 'nong

I reply. I get carried away sa nabasa ko at napansin na papadilim na.

"Iha, I'm sorry, are you okay? What do you want for dinner?" Ma'am liza said.

"Kahit ano po ma'am, kailangan nyo po ba ng tulong sa pagluluto, tutulong po ako-" I offered but she stop me.

"No iha you have to take a rest, kung gusto mo dun ka muna sa kwarto mo papatawag kita pag luto na ang ulam, okay?" She said, i nod and went upstairs.

After a few minutes, pinatawag na ako sa baba. I sit at the same chair and so does Ma'am Liza and Sandro.

We're all eating when Simon enter, it can obviously see that he's in a good mood. He sit beside me. "Mom, kuya plus you AJ, guess what?" He said.

"What is it son?" Ma'am liza asked.

"The company I'm working with in the States has said that they will open another company here in the Philippines, which means..?" Pag bibitin nya habang nakangiti.

"Which means, what exactly?" Sandro ask again.

"It means i will not go back to the states to work, I'll be working here in the Philippines and my boss said I'll be the manager in one of the accounts, isn't that Amazing?" He excitedly said.

We all congratulate him and feel happy for him.

I woke up early and prepare my uniform. As i open my door, i saw Sandro halos sabay lang kaming nagising. We look at each other and noticed that we're still in our Pajamas. to be honest, mas gwapo sya pag kakagising, baby face. I can't help but to admire him. Tagal ko na syang crush, hindi talaga maiwasan kiligin.

"Good morning" I cheerfully greeted. He look at me and didn't smile. "Morning" He coldly replied, while he starts walking down stairs leaving me alone.

"Ang sungit ng tatay mo nak, pasalamat sya crush ko sya hmp" I said as i caress my tummy. I'm already 3 months pregnant, hindi pa gaanong halata.

As i walk towards the dining room i heard Ma'am Liza talking."nga pala, manang belen, Bongbong's family will come this weekend, let's cook something special, okay?... "

Oh no. Mas lalo akong kinabahan.

"Good morning po" I greeted. Ma'am liza look at me and smile, "good morning iha, breakfast is ready, ihahatid ka na ni Sandro pupunta rin naman sya sa Munisipyo mamaya" She said, suddenly Sandro appeared.

"What? I'm in a hurry, I'm sure she'll be preparing for too long, papahatid ko nalang po sya Kay Manong Lando" He said. He already resign sa Senate and preparing himself for running as a Congressman here in Ilocos.

"But, Sandro-" Ma'am liza has something to say but i stop her.

"Ma'am ayos lang ho, Mas importante po na di malalate si sir Sandro, si Manong Lando nalang po maghatid sa akin" I said. I'm pretty sure na pag mas lalong pilitin ni Ma'am liza si Sandro, magmamatigas din sya at hindi papayag.
