Chapter 14

After 2 months

Athena POV

"Yes ma, oo nga umiinom naman po ako ng gatas" I said while talking to mama online, I'm already in maternity leave.

"Siguraduhin mo, natanggap mo ba pinadala ko kay Manong(kuya) mo?" She asked,

"Opo ma, sabi naman sayo eh, meron pa po ung gatas ko pambuntis dito binilhan nyo nanaman ako" I said as i scratch the back of my neck, kulit talaga ni mama. We said our goodbye after kase may work sya.

And guess what? Hindi na harsh si Sandro saken, pero may pagka mailap pa din.

I'm here at their garden seating and reading a book. I'm wearing long sleeveless straight dress. It's already 5:30pm, magdidilim.

As i continue to read i heard someone from the door.

"I'm home!" It was Simon. I ignore him kasi di naman nya ako nakita. But then he walk closer to my position.

"Hi, tina, where is everyone?" He asked.

"Uh si mama mo nag overtime yata, si vinny naman nasa room nya kausap yata nililigawan nya, si kuya mo alam mo naman busy" I respond.

He nod and look at me. "Aren't you cold? You're wearing sleeveless pa" He asked in concern.

I shook my head no. He took a heavy sigh and went inside. When he came back he handed me a jacket, yung souvenir sa campain ni  Sir Bong.

"Here, wear it so you won't get cold"

"Salamat, nga pala may banana cue sa mesa baka gusto mo?" I offered. He nod  "oh okay, I'll go inside na ah, i have to change" He said as he went his way.

At 6pm, Sir Bong and Ma'am liza arrived, kasunod lang nila si Sandro.

We all eat dinner. While eating Sir Bong speak "late ka na yata nakauwi Sandro?" He asked.

Sandro put down his spoon and fork. "I met some of my friends, and uh i have to tell you something" He said.

"What is it kuya?" Vinny ask.

She hold her mom's hand resting on the table. "Gia and I have come back together" He joyfully said.

My eyes widen in surprise. I look at him. His smile doesn't fade. Halata sa mga mata nya ang saya. In the corner of my eye, i can see Vinny and Simon looking at me.

"Uhmm oh- uh that's nice anak" Sir bong said as he forced a smile. We continue to eat pero parang ayaw ko na. Relax Athena...

After eating, we all stood up. Suddenly Sandro's phone ring. He excuse himself as he answer the call.

Agad naman akong pumunta sa taas. Hindi ko na mapigilan umiyak, maybe i get too attached from the way he act nice to me lately.

I'm about to enter my room. "Tina wait!" Simon said.

I turn around to face him or the two of them. Kasama nya si Vinny. "Sorry ha, inaantok na kasi ako eh" I reason out.

They both walk towards me. "We know you have feelings for him and it  hurts for us to see you crying" Vinny said.

I don't know but i didn't hold my tears anymore. They both hug me. "You're like a sister to the both of us" Simon said.

I lift my head "talaga?"

They both nod. "We always wanted to have one and then you came" Simon said with a smile.

"You'll get through this Ate, just be strong" Vinny positively said.
