Chapter 83

After 3 years...

Athena POV

I pick some of Aleshia's toys na nakakalat sa sala. I put it on her toy basket and fix some of the pillows she used while watching Kids stories at our television.

"Ateeee!" Mela approach me with a giggle.

"Ano?" I asked.

"Yung cupcakes na bake na" She informs. I'm trying Mama Liza's cupcake recipe. Tagal ko na din kasi nag-ccrave ng matamis and I thought about her delicious cupcake. It's a good thing she share it to me.

"Talaga? Osige-sige I'm going to check it, Mela pasuyo naman oh, will you check Aleshia first upstairs baka kasi mahulog sa higaan nya, wag ka lang masyado maingay, may meeting si Sir Sandro mo sa office nya" I told her.

She nod. "Sige ate, balitaan mo 'ko sa cupcake mo ha" She excitedly said. Hindi ko nga alam kung tama measurements ko sa mga recipe na ginawa ko kanina.

"Osya na, check mo na si Aleshia sa taas" I said. I walk to the kitchen and get the cupcakes at the oven. I think tama naman ginawa ko, maayos naman.

Suddenly, my phone rings. I took it from the pocket of my apron. It's Anton.

"Hi 'nak? How's your exam? Anong oras na dyan? Mamaya nagpupuyat ka nanaman ha" I strictly told him.

He chuckles. "Ma will you please just be relax and it's 10am here, what time is it there?"

I lift my arm to look at my watch. "4:30pm, anyway, your dad told me about your exam last Monday, how was it?" I ask.

He's in 3rd High School now, Grade 9. So he's really in his teen years.

"I spend my time to review all my notes before the exam, I'm pretty sure I pass," He said confidently. "Anyway, I just call to check you there, how's going on there po ma? Where's ading?" He added.

"She's in her room with Mela, daddy mo is currently on his meeting, and me, i just finish baking some cupcakes" I inform.

"Oh okay, take care always, sana po when I get home I can taste that cupcake na bake nyo" He laugh.

"Sus, you go home on your vacation naman, I'll wait for you"

"Thank you Ma, i need to go, tell dad and Aleshia I love them, Love you!"

"Bye, Ingat always, Love you!"

I put my phone down and was about to get the icing at the fridge.

"Ate!"

Mela's voice surprise me. "Mela ano ka ba, aatikihin naman ako sayo" I nervously said. I put my hand at my chest and breathe slowly. Ikaw ba naman gulatin.

"Ay, sorry ate. Si Aleshia tulog pa 'te, si Sir yata tapos na sa meeting nya, 'di ko sure. Kailangan mo bang tulong?"

I shake my head, no. "Hindi, ako na lang. Huwag ka mag alala matitikman mo din to mamaya" I said.

She nod and smile. "Thank you ate, osya kunin ko lang yung sinampay, tawagin mo lang ako pag may kailangan ka"

She left me at the kitchen as I started to put icing at the top of the cupcake. I took one and taste it, okay naman, medyo 'di nga lang nag-puff yung iba, kulang yata sa baking powder.

I set aside the cupcakes and went upstairs to invite Sandro to taste it. I peek at his doorway, tahimik baka wala na nga syang meeting.

I softly knock and find him facing his laptop.

"Hi, Mahal! I bake some cupcakes, want to join me have some meryenda?" I invite.

He remove his headset. "I'm still in the meeting, Mahal don't worry I'll go downstairs right after this" He whispers.
