Chapter 29

Athena POV

That night after i took a shower i go to Anton's room first to say Goodnight.

"Oh bat gising ka pa po Ferdinand Anthony Marcos IV?" I tease.

He just smile at me. I went closer to him and look at what he's holding. It was a picture of us when he was baby sa hospital, the one I'm holding him while Sandro was beside us.

"Just admiring this beautiful picture ma" He said with a smile. I sat down beside him.

"Tignan mo nga, baby ka pa gwapo-gwapo mo na, lalo na ngayon syempreee" I compliment.

He just smile and look at the photo again. "Ma, can i ask something?" He ask.

"Hmm.. What is it?"

"Why can't you and dad be together?" He ask. I wasn't expecting it to be his question. I fix my position to his bed.

"Kase anak, your dad and i have met each other in an unexpected way. When you came into our lives we're not really ready that time but of course, you're a blessing to us" I explain. He just listen to me and didn't say anything.

"You know what? I had a huge crush on your dad before, when we were still teenagers"

"Really ma?" He ask.

"Oo kaya, Gwapo kaya ni Daddy mo, then i know i can't reach him because his family name's famous, as you can see naman diba, you're great Grandfather  was a former President sir Ferdinand Marcos, then your Papa lolo is a Vice President, Daddy's family is famous, eh si Mama? Diba di naman sikat si Mama, I'm just an ordinary person" I said.

"That's why you can't be together?" He ask again.

"Also, Dad's in love with someone else and i accept that because if you truly love a person, you will love to see them happy even though you're not part of their happiness" The moment I've said, there's a small part of me that hurts.

"Hmm.. That hurts ma, pero I'm still here naman eh, di  kita iiwan, i will always be by your side" He sweetly said as he hug me.

"Nak what if mama needs to work abroad? Will you let me?" I ask, i take it as a opportunity to ask him.

"Hmm? Why mama? Pero paano po ako?"

"Lola mama will take care of you tska andyan naman sila Daddy, diba i told you before, Your dad and i talk about you, going to London for your studies in high school, na dun ka mag high school and college, Mauuna lang si mama dun then pag graduate mo ng elementary, dun na tayo mas stay dalawa"

He didn't respond.

"Tsaka nak, hindi naman ibig sabihin dun mag work si mama di na sya uuwi, syempre uuwi din ako para makita ka, so will you let me?" I ask as i explain.

"I'll think about it pa, pero for now po dito ka muna" He said with a smile.

I kiss him goodnight and went to my room. I checked my phone and saw a message.

I book an appointment for you last week for your renewal of passport, bukas ka na punta DFA just show this ticket online. Ingat AJ

The next day....

I woke up early para sa lakad ko sa DFA.  I ask mama to look for Anton muna habang nilalakad ko passport ko.

I arrived their on time. Pumila muna ako pero hindi naman ganun katagal, when i gave them all the requirements they immediately process it, pero tatawagan pa daw ako kung kailan makukuha.
