Chapter 38

We step into the bus. People tell me that they've missed me. I smile back and give them hugs. I sit next to Lindsey. I look up. There's Lexi. Aka the girl who hates me for no reason. She has a evil look on her face as always. I look away. "HEY TRIPPY!" She yells to me. I ignore her. "Go have a seizure you little bit" Lindsey cuts her off, "LEXI! Do you have any idea of what this is like for Alanis? You haven't had to undergo brain surgery, deal with harsh comments of your's, and on top of that worry about if you'll wake up to a seizure, or even have one at any moment!" Lindsey exclaims to Lexi. I sit there awkwardly. Lexi doesn't say a word. "Thanks Lindsey," I tell her calmly. I start to get off the bus. I feel Lexi's cold hand hit my cheek as it leaves a bruise. "Will you knock it off already!" I tell her. "Sorry, I can't help it. I love hitting dorks!" She replies as she walks away. "Come on, Alanis. She doesn't deserve your attention," Lindsey says as I follow her. I go to my locker. I grab my books for 1st period. I go with one of my friends in that class, Lauren. She hugs me and tells me that it's great to have me back. I hug her back and tell her it's great to see her too. I go to open the door. And then all I see is black.
