Chapter 39

I flip the light switch. "SURPRISE!" Is all I hear. I get tons of hugs from classmates. I look up and I see a sign that says "GLAD TO HAVE YOU BACK ALANIS" I smile for the first time in forever. I look over and of course mom and dad are there vlogging. Lindsey tells me that it was her, mom,and dad's idea. I hug Lindsey. Then I go hug mom and dad. Then a boy in my class tells me that his mom made a cake. I look at the cake and laugh. Dad vlogs me looking at it. I laugh. It has a picture of me on it. I hug my 1st period teacher. Aka my English teacher. I tell her thank you. She tells everyone to sit down. We sit in our desks. Mom and dad mom stand at the front of room. Dad hands Lindsey the camera and she films. "Allie and I put together a little video for Alanis that most of you are in and we wanted to present now," Dad says. Everyone claps as mom and dad sit near me. The projector comes on and the video starts to play. It shows mom and dad first saying that they are so proud of me and I did amazing during the surgery. Then it shows Lindsey saying that she's glad that she can be there with me during all of this, that she loves me, and to stay strong. Then it shows lots of people in my grade saying that they love me and to stay strong. It also shows my teachers. Then it shows everyone in the band pretty much saying the same thing. Then the video shows a couple of our fans wearing IKTV shirts holding up signs. It ends and we all clap then eat some cake. Then we take a picture. I post it on my Instagram with the caption " Thanks for everyone coming out to surprise me today. You do not know how much I appreciate it.❤️" Then I say thank you to everyone. I say bye to mom and dad. Then I switch to the next class.
