Chapter 44

We all sit in shock. I have brain cancer. I lean on mom and dad's shoulders. I know they're crying. The doctor says I'll start chemotherapy soon. Dad knows what this is like. He's a survivor. Lexi and Lindsey are crying too. I sit with shock in my eyes. I just think about the veiwers, how will we tell them? I'll watch dad's results video and read the comments when I get home I guess. Aunt Mel is crying. She hugs me tight. I begin to cry. Everyone hugs me. The doctor hugs me. We leave and we go home. The ride was silent. No one was on their phones. Everyone just looked out the window with tears in their eyes. We go home and I go straight to my room. I watch the video of dad and his ex wife announcing that he had cancer. I look at their faces in the video and I cry. Then I look at the comments. Everyone was heartbroken, but they were supportive. I go outside of my room. Everyone is chatting. I get out my camera. It's time.
