He had woken up and a curse surged through his mind at once, he didn't want to get out of that bed and much less wanted to leave. That trip had been sudden without knowing exactly what the outcome of it was going to be, for that reason he hadn't bothered to cancel his Monday morning appointment. It was an important negotiation that he didn't want to lose, but that didn't make it seem any less unfair that he had been there for such a short time, he should have thought things through better and organized his schedule in such a way that he could have stayed there for at least a week.

He reluctantly looked for his pajamas on the floor to put them on and go to the bathroom, also carrying the suitcase in which he only had a change of clothes for that day and some basic toiletries. Contrary to what he always did, he wasn't going to take a shower, he was a bit pressed for time and he would do it as soon as he was in his own apartment. He brushed his teeth, untangled his hair and after being ready he went back to the room. Tenten had already gotten up to feed Haruka, she had put back on the pajama dress she had gone to sleep in, a dress that had some buttons on the front that were open as it was a garment designed precisely to breastfeed the little baby. He didn't know as much as he should about babies, but seeing that his daughter was eating well had to be a good sign.

His daughter, he felt completely weirded out by the naturality with which those words formed in his mind and that they were his new reality. His daughter, a beautiful baby girl who would soon have his last name and was precisely his, was even more perfect than he had ever dreamed at the thought of having a child. Tenten smiled in his direction by way of greeting, he definitely didn't want to go and leave them, he could probably arrange his schedule to travel again before the brunette's return home.

"Do you have to leave already?"

"Due to the unexpectedness of the trip, Shizune couldn't make the reservation on the usual flight but on the previous one."

"But you haven't had breakfast, I can..." Haruka hadn't stopped eating so she couldn't move yet.

"It's ok, I'll eat something at the airport."

"You hate airport food," Tenten emphasized and he smiled, of course she knew it.

"For once it will be worth it," out of the corner of his eye he looked at his watch, it was time to go or he would be late, so he asked for the vehicle that would take him because he had already told Darui that they would meet directly at the entrance to migration.

"Wait," the brunette read his expression, "before you go, I have something for you," she looked around and hesitated, "come, it's in the bottom drawer," she pointed to the night table. He obeyed her and from the compartment he took out what seemed to be 2 notebooks, "not that one," she said as she saw him open it.

He began to leaf through the first one, it had the title 'Baby's Diary'. The first page had Haruka's name on it, along with the full names of her parents, meaning his name was written there. He turned the page and could see a list describing everything about her birth, such as time of delivery, weight, size and so on. He moved on to a few more pages, each one describing the changes she was undergoing as time went by, and some pictures.

"That one is not ready yet, there are still many things to write down that will happen," Tenten held out her hand for him to give it back, which he did while he rested his eyes on the other diary. Its title was 'Future mom's Diary'. "I already finished that one... I bought it shortly after I found out, I tried to write it all down."

He opened a page at random, he could just notice that on several pages there were things stuck together, on that one specifically he could see what appeared to be an ultrasound picture. He then read what it said, it described how many weeks pregnant she was, the diameter of her belly, the baby's measurements, what she had been told at the consultation and had a section to write down if she had had any cravings or thoughts.
