He moved his head from side to side to relax his neck a bit as he thought about the pending tasks for that week. He was a supremely organized man, and so he had a perfectly prioritized mental list of what he had to do before leaving for his honeymoon trip.

The first thing was to check that there was nothing new with the flights or reservations, and that the weather in the chosen destination remained the same so his schedule wouldn't change. The second thing was that the guests to the ceremony had confirmed their attendance, and at that point for some reason his head went to the fact that Kiba had marked the option that he would attend with his wife and son, for the sake of arranging the children's menu for him.

He didn't consider that a marriage was an appropriate place to attend with a child, but given the fact that many in his social circle were already married and had children, with his fiancée, and with the organizer of the event they decided to leave the option open and let everyone decide whether to take them or not. He just hoped that there would be no crying everywhere, what he least wanted was a migraine on such an important day.

He found it curious that among the many people he knew with children was precisely the Inuzuka, not only because he was younger than him as if that implied that Kiba couldn't have children before, but because that before was so long ago. Ryuu, he remembered that was the name, was almost 5 years old which implied that the man had had him at 23. At that age he wasn't thinking nor had in his priorities to have children yet, now he did have it among his plans, but not then.

He didn't know the man's wife, what came to his mind was the conversation they had had with Shino and Kankuro shortly before, when the infant had broken his arm, and he had seen him for the first time, Ryuu was a miniature version almost identical to his father with the exception of the eyes that he could suppose were the only feature of the mother.

Flashback

After the child's scream that alerted them all, the office door was opened and a few seconds later the Inuzuka had come out after the infant.

"I didn't remember Kiba's wife," he heard Kankuro, and only then looked up to see through the glass the brunette holding the child, "she looks younger today."

He hadn't met her so far, the few times he had coincided with the man at the club the woman wasn't by his side, the first time as far as he knew later she was at the bar getting completely drunk, the second was something about a cold he wasn't sure who, and the third he had seen her sideways but before they greeted each other, she had run off because Ryuu had gone out into the green zone and was chasing a duck.

"She's young," Shino said with a shrug.

"How old is she, 25? 26?" he shook his head in his mind, it was less years. The Aburame cleared his throat uncomfortably.

"Tenten turned 23 in March, they don't usually do very big celebrations on that date," his eyebrow automatically furrowed at everything that simple number implied.

"How long have they been married?" yes, apparently the Sabaku was doing exactly the same math as him, "isn't it 5 years or something like that?"

"Yes..." apparently the Aburame would have preferred to keep quiet, "never mention it in front of Tsume or she'll tear your head off."

"I had forgotten that they eloped, though I don't blame him," his voice made it clear that Kankuro was looking in an inappropriate way at his colleague's wife. He for his part only noticed the couple who had given each other a kiss and after that the boy shouted excitedly to which the brown haired woman smiled before exchanging a kiss with the Inuzuka again and leaving.
