MADEL was battling with her heart and mind. Today was their last day in Alaska. Mamayang madaling araw ay aalis na sila pabalik sa Manila.
It had been a great week. Ipinasyal siya ni Robb sa kung saan-saan sa Alaska. HIndi lang iyon, they even went to different States in the US like Hollywood and Universal Studio in California.
Kagagaling lang din nila sa New York. They visited Time Square and Empire State Building. They also watched different musicals in Broadway for three straight nights.
A few days ago they went to Niagara Falls and stayed in one of a five-star hotel there for a night.
Robb was buying her souvenirs and T-shirts in every places that they went. Para daw may remembrance siya at hindi niya makalimutan. She doubted kung makakalimutan niya ang linggong iyon.
It was amazing. She had the time of her life.
There are nights, when they laid down in bed hugging each other, that she wished this would never end. But she knew that was only a wishful thinking. All of this would pass. Once they were back in Manila, they would also be back in reality.
It was making her sad but she hid it from him.
She tried to be a wife to him as much as she could. Basta nasa bahay sila ay lagi niya itong ipinagluluto. She would always prepare him clothes to wear for the day na minsan ay pinapapalitan nito dahil hindi ito kumportable at papalitan niya naman nang walang problema.
Sobrang nasanay na siyang katabi ito na may mga gabi na kapag nagigising siyang na hindi siya nito yakap ay kinakapa niya ito subconsciously. Then he would pull her to him in anyway he could, and embraced her through the night.
It was good to be in his arms, she felt at home. She knew it was strange but she couldn't deny that she enjoyed being a wife to the multibillionaire.
Leila never stopped texting Robb. Her only consolation was, Robb was leaving his phone to her most of the time kung hindi rin lang nito ginagamit, and that was ninety percent of the day. And anytime na may text si Leila na ito ang nakatanggap ay pinababasa nito iyon sa kanya at tinatanong kung gusto niyang sagutin. But she would always say no.
Given that, isang linggo na rin nag-mo-monologue si Leila sa phone ng asawa niya. The woman was expressing her undying love to her husband on a daily basis, which Robb successfully ignore all the time.
One day she asked Robb kung bakit hindi na lang nito i-block ang number ni Leila. Her husband replied: Gagamit lang 'yan ng ibang phone number. And when she realized that she was blocked, she would do more vicious things that are unexpected to us, and I don't want to be caught off guard.
It took awhile for her to realized what Robb said. But at the end of the day, blocking Leila would only encourage the woman to think of more ways to get Robb's attention, and she, as the woman in question in Leila's life would bear damage. Pino-protektahan lang din siya ng asawa. Gusto nitong makarkula ang bawat galaw ni Leila at Don Julio.
