"So, it's done. You're legally the only slave owner in Irvine, no, probably in the whole world," Madam Fron claims as I sign the contract in front of the hospital ward. Seira just has to suffer a traumatic flashback in the courtrooms.
"Doesn't really matter to me. It's not like I'm going to do anything drastic to her," I sigh. My lips form a faint smile. "But I'm glad this war finally ends."
Madam Fron laughs. "Yeah, me too."
As Madam Fron leaves me, Remi approaches with a large glass of lemonade that she finishes with a sip.
"Heya!" Remi greets. "You all fine?"
"More or less. How about you?"
"Well, I am fine, but damn the Isabelles are down to only half a dozen or so," Remi sighs. "I don't know if we can survive or not, but hopefully I can use my influence."
"So long as the war stops, things should stabilize," Lita says. "This is the end."
"No, Lita," I murmur.
The Seraphim. They have made their first move, trying to seize the Princess of Terror's research. It is only a matter of time, I reckon, before we are forced to join forces with the Imperium and fight the Seraphim.
"This is just the end of the beginning."
