Surprises in Unexpected Places

No pov:

It's been a week since Wu, Jay, and Lloyd interrogated Kai. Today he was to show them the abilities he had gotten from the lab. Wu and the other ninja sat under a tree, while Kai stood next to the river.

Kai pov:

"What is Kai gonna do?"

Cole asked.

"We've been waiting for him to do something for the past ten minutes!"

Nya yelled.

I sat down where I was standing and closed my eyes. I was ready.

"Can't he hurry up?! I'm starving!"

Jay yelled that time.

Now.

I waved my hands up in a circular motion from my left, moving the water.

The others almost lost their shit. Almost.

I separated it into two and started to freeze the water bubbles.

This blew their minds even further.

Beads of sweat started to drip down my forehead as I set the water back into the creek, as it was before, unfrozen. Once I did, I had to catch myself and I was panting.

"Ok, that was worth the wait."

Cole said that. Everyone agreed. Lloyd came over to check up on me.

"You ok?"

He sat on his knees, putting a hand on my shoulder.

"... T- tired..."

I stated through the gasps for air.

"Do all of your abilities, if you have any others, do this to you too?"

"Yeah, but once I start using them again, it'll be like my elemental power. The fire, that is."

Lloyd nodded in understandment.

After I caught my breath, I walked to the center of the training yard. I sit criss cross, hands on the ground, eyes closed, and took a deep breath. Lloyd was back under the tree already.

I felt as the dirt under my fingers started to grow grass, the wind pick up, water quickened, even the temperature inside the monestary warm up a bit.

All four of the basic elements at once. I felt them. But of course, afterwards I passed out.

Lloyd pov:

We saw the grass grow, water quickened, and felt the wind pick up, which was cool, but after a few minutes of whatever Kai was doing, he blacked out.

I ran to him to see if he was ok and made Zane scan him. He was just tired. So I picked him up and walked into his room, setting him on his bed.

It was a bit warmer in here than it was earlier, he or Pixal must have done something to the heat.

Half an hour later(Kai pov):

I woke up and stumble into the kitchen.

"Hello Kai, I hope you slept well."

Zane spooked me, being I didn't see him.

"No, not really, Zane."

"How come?"

"It's just, I passed out," I yawn a bit, "and someone laid me down on my back. I get the best sleep when I'm on my stomach."

I yawn again. This time I heard Cole and Lloyd whispering an awe. I kinda blushed at this.

I walk to the pantry and got some ramen.

"What ya doing in the kitchen Kai?"

Lloyd teased.

"You make too much food one time!"

Lloyd laughed, and it was cute. Cole spoke up now.

"Dude, chill out. Now we know you cook like a mom."

I blushed again as I walked to the sink to make my ramen. My head starts to spin, from the lack of energy, as I turn on the sink. Then I woke up on the floor.

"How did?-"

"Be quiet Kai. You just passed out."

"But Lloyd!-"

"No buts."

I heard the microwave go off. Cole got up, grabbed and handed me the ramen I was trying to cook before and a fork.

"Eat up, you need energy."

That's what Cole said as he handed the food to me. Lloyd had helped me sit up against some of the cabinets under the sink and is still sitting by me and Cole sat on the other side of me. I felt my face heat up and to play it off I started eating.

By the time my brain processed I had finished the ramen, my hand used the fork to scoop some more food the wasn't there.

Fuck.

"I guess you're still hungry?"

I shook my head to answer Lloyd's question. Cole took the trash from me.

"I guess your powers that you showed us take a lot out of ya?"

Cole asked. I nodded, getting kind of tired again. I yawn yet again, earning an awe from the both of them. Nya walked into the kitchen.

"Prepare for cuddly Kai, you two."

"I am not cuddly, I just like the warmth of another person.."

I snuggled into Cole a bit. Lloyd looked a bit.. jealous?

"And? You're a human heater Kai. You don't need another heater."

"Shush."

My eyes started to feel heavy.

"It appears Kai is falling asleep."

"Shh Zane."

And with that I fell asleep.
