A/N- I hate that I have to kill off so many of my favorite people in this story. :-/ Anyway, enjoy the fact that I am making some Reaping parts now to make up for since I was unable to earlier. ~Amanda
Gabrielle Riviera's POV
I wake up just as the sun rises. I gently wake up Caitlin. She is one year younger than me. I'm 14, and she's 13. We train in the forest in the mornings. "Caitlin. Time to train." She gets up and we run to the forest. I grab a bow, and Caitlin takes some arrows. "You know, Caitlin, I always admired how you can use arrows like throwing knives." We stand up a scarecrow, and I shoot at its head. It hits the bullseye. Caitlin aims for the heart. We both shoot perfectly. "Nice." We train for another hour, then we hide our weapons and dummy. We run back home and grab some fruit for breakfast. Our mom is in the kitchen. "Where have you been?" "Training." Her jaw drops. "You know that's illegal! You could get arrested by Peacekeepers!" "Mom, if we need to, we can just shoot them." She sighs. "There is just no giving up with you two."
At the Reaping, we have a new escort. She has purple hair. "I am Amethyst Shine, District 10's escort. For this very special Hunger Games, one family member of each tribute will be placed in the arena as well. Gabrielle Riviera!" I don't worry. As long as I've got a bow and arrows, I'm capable of defending myself. I watch as Amethyst picks the boy tribute. "Luke Marcos!" She calls our family after Luke gets onstage. "Caitlin Riviera and Ashley Marcos!"
Luke Marcos' POV
I am on the roof, staring at the sky. Ashley notices me and shouts loud enough to wake the Capitol. "LUKE MARCOS, YOU GET DOWN HERE!" "You're not the boss of me." I complain. I flop down again and notice a hovercraft shoot across the sky. It's probably making sure the arena is ready for the Games. I climb down bricks embedded in the wall and wear a nice shirt for the Reaping. I run to the square. The escort introduces herself and explains the Quell's surprise. One of each tribute's family members is now a tribute too. She calls up Gabrielle Riviera, and me. I don't want to be a tribute. I want to be safe, at home, with a bed, not the fear of death hanging over my head. Amethyst calls up this little girl, Caitlin, amd Ashley. Aww, she'll probably tell me I can't kill anyone.
Ok, sorry if Luke's half was cruddy. I am about to fall asleep, so I can't really think of good things. But... I finished, so I could share this Reaping with you, my readers! ^.^ I'll add more later.
